It's obvious course designer D.A. Weibring created a second starting hole here, with the PGA TOUR's Thursday-Friday crossovers in mind. Elevated, deep bunkers protect the left side of the green's putting surface, while a pond protects the right. Don't figure the greenside bunkers are a bailout, though, because your next shot will be down to the shallow green, and any less-than-perfect bunker shot will either stay in the sand or get wet. The green is relatively flat and will be hard to hold for those trying to get home in two.

We Played a PGA Tour Stop — TPC Deere Run! Home of The John Deere Classic on the PGA Tour!
I played the TPC Deere Run, Home of the John Deere Classic on the PGA Tour! Located in Silvis, IL but part of the Quad Cities. 2 hours west of Chicago, IL. I think it’s the best public golf course in Illinois. I recommend getting the member for a day package and getting there early to get in at least 36 holes. We got in 50. It was a really good day, a great golf course, and now I can watch the John Deere Classic and I know all the holes! Make sure you golf this course, it’s a must play.
