Ep. 95: Green River Kayak Camping | Utah kayaking Canyonlands National Park
A voyage down the final 100 miles of the Green River by kayak, canoe or raft, through the Labyrinth Canyon and Stillwater Canyon into Utah's Canyonlands National Park, is an epic bucket list camping trip. It's also the only way to see this part of Canyonlands. We spend eight days on the river, encountering other river travelers from four other states and two other countries along the way. We find remnants of ancient people dating from 200 to 1,200 years old, including the Outlaw Cabin and Anasazi cliff dwellings. We descend through numerous layers of the earth’s crust, passing through two seasons. Throughout it all, though, the river is our constant, yet moody companion; at times our lover and best friend, and at other times our worst enemy, the river is alive -- a living, breathing creature that dominates our lives for days on end.
FOR MORE INFORMATION
Separate river permits are required from the BLM for Labyrinth Canyon, and from Canyonlands National Park for Stillwater Canyon. The Labyrinth Canyon permit requires little more than filling out a form and carrying the required gear, while the permit for Stillwater Canyon requires a bit more arduous and bureaucratic process and while there’s no lottery involved, permits are limited by the number of people who can be shuttled by outfitters from The Confluence or Spanish Bottom. Ruby Ranch’s owners also charge a fee for those who choose to launch their boats there, although there are alternative put-ins at Crystal Geyser and in the town of Green River.
Applications and more information may be found at:
* BLM Labyrinth Canyon
* Canyonlands National Park river permits
Two outfitters are permitted to provide shuttle services from Spanish Bottom to Moab and also provide guided expeditions:
* Tag-A-Long Expeditions
* Tex’s Riverways

ABOUT US
Welcome to Grand Adventure, a YouTube channel that focuses on RV-centric outdoor activities including not only of course camping, but also mountain biking, hiking, kayaking, skiing and more, nearly always filmed in stunning 4K.
We're based in Salt Lake City, Utah, and invite you to come along as we travel all around the western U.S. My wife Patricia and I, and our dogs Zoe and Maggie are avid boondockers, so you'll seldom find us in RV parks or even dry campgrounds. Instead, we're usually camped in some of the most remote and beautiful spots that you could ever pull a travel trailer into. And unlike most other RV channels on YouTube, we're not RV dealers or full-timers -- we're weekend warriors just like you!
We'll provide tips and insight on equipping and maintaining your RV, trip planning and travel videos to make your next adventure a grand one indeed! So, subscribe to make sure that you catch every episode, and remember...life is nothing but a Grand Adventure!

Rafting Westwater Canyon, Utah
Day trip from Moab, Utah with Tag A Long tours to Westwater Canyon and the Colorado River on Saturday September 14th. This was the first set of rapids. Didn't expect to be bounced and splashed quite so hard. Great day!
Moab Daily.
A short video of the Moab Daily stretch along the river. The Red Rock cliffs are amazing, but alot of flat water. Scott Clow on guitar/singing. I did not think the oar mount was going to make that much noise.

Climbing Utah Arches with my kids at Utah Arches National Park - Epic Fun !!!
Welcome to Utah! Land of canyons and heat. We started our journey through the state of Utah by stopping on the side of the road to check out a ghost town. Have you ever seen a ghost? No, neither have I. What better way, to start our expedition through Utah by finding a ghost town. There we found some broken down buildings, an oil well, some other random things like glass, graffiti, nails and so on. Anyway, we kept driving and came upon a bridge, that burned down 10 years ago. So you could say we came to celebrate its tenth anniversary of being burned down. Not funny, I know. We flew a drone over to see what it would be like to walk across it, I must say, the views were cool. Finally, after driving for what seemed days, we came across what Utah is famous for, Arches and Canyons. We visited Arches National Park. We couldn't resist, we had to go see the arches. Let me ask you a question, What happens when boys see Arches in Utah? You got it! Climb them, Conquer them, and make an adventure out of it. By the way, be warned!!! Your mom is NOT going to like it. But we did give her what she wants. Adventure was on and we were determined to conquered the Arch. We climbed where it stated “STOP, DO NOT go past this point”, “You will die if you climb here”, OK, OK, I added a few words that were not there. We climbed up, maybe 50 feet and something caught our eye, a nearby arch right next to the first arch. You guessed it, we had to climb that Arch as well. By this time MOM cant take it anymore. We had to sneak off behind her back because she knew what we were up to. Death is on your mind boys she told us. She got mad that we left her but it was worth it. We conquered the second arch as well, were no man stood on that day. And to make our mom happy we did hike up an easy path to an amazing view and took some pictures for her. We had fun and now it’s your turn. UTAH is calling you my friends - ...Come climb the arches… leave mom at home… take water with you, because it’s hot :)

OVERLANDING IN THE USA, Report 2. Washington to Oregon | 4xOverland
In this episode, we head out of Washington State and into Oregon, attempting to follow a remote road through the Oregon Back Country Discovery Routes. Its part of the longest trail system in Oregon with over 1500 miles to explore and discover amazing country. But the snow still lies on the ground. Will we be able to complete our intended route?
The subject of this series:
How is overlanding in the USA doing today? Is it still growing as it once did. In the US, overlanding is a relatively new industry, and it seems as if it is following in the footsteps of the same industry in countries like Australia and South Africa. In this series of videos I find out by taking a US built overland truck across the country, from Seattle Washington, through the wilds of Oregon, and then onto the country's largest overland trade expo, Overland Expo West in Arizona.

We live in a strange time where so many of use want to shop online for equipment designed to get us outside. I get it! Shopping from the comfort of the couch at any time is very appealing. But so much of the equipment that we use for overland travel is really expensive and it would be nice to see it up close and explore it a bit before spending hard earned money. Artemis Overland Hardware is located in Springfield, Missouri and you can visit them in person. You can see all that equipment in person, pick it up there, and head straight out for an adventure right from their shop.
Artemis Overland Hardware only stocks the best equipment. Anything you pick is going to stand up to the harsh environments that you’ll be subjecting them to.
At ArtemisOverland.com you’ll find a wide selection of roof top tents and ground tents from companies like Oz Tent, 23Zero, Eezi Awn. Outfit your camp kitchen with a SnoMaster Fridge, a Tembo Tusk Skottle, or a stove from Kovea or Front Runner. Artemis Overland has a large selection of camp furniture as well as roof racks for a wide range of vehicles. Recovery gear, lights, solar power, winches, dual battery systems, Action Trax, GPS units, and much, much more can be found at ArtemisOverland.com or in the brick and mortar store.
Artemis Overland Hardware is also one of the very few approved Goose Gear installers and Ironman 4x4 dealers located in the central United States.
