[Malaysia Travel] Malaysia Perak Taiping, Taiping Lake Garden near Taiping Zoo in Taiping Perak Malaysia (360 Video) Part 1
Taiping Lake Gardens also known as Taman Tasik Taiping in Malay is the first public garden established during the British colonization in Malaysia. Located near Bukit Larut, the garden is equidistant to the town centre and the Taiping Zoo. The Taiping Lake Gardens was initially a mining ground before further developed as a public garden in late 80's. The garden was established by Charles Compton Reade during late 80's until early 90's, who also managed for the planning of the garden town in Kuala Lumpur. There are several private and government houses located not far from the gardens; among them are the Old Residency,, the Raja’s House at the junction of Birch Road and Residency Road and the army officers' residences on Batu Tugoh Road.

Trip to Taiping - The Taiping Lake Gardens 太平湖
Did you know that The Taiping Lake Gardens is the first public garden established during the British rule in Malaysia? The trees are planted since 1884 (more than 100 years old now), and they are since preserved. As the branch over extend, some parts of the road are closed from public vehicles and can only be access by foot. The hanging branches had since become an icon to the famous lake.

Old Town of Taiping-Malaysia (September 2017)
Old Town of Taiping-Malaysia. Situated in the northern part of Malaysia, Taiping is my favourite small town hugging the Maxwell Hill, as such the weather is often rainy and agreeable. It has many firsts in Malaysia and the Lake Gardens being the lung of the town attracts many locals. A quaint small town with many old buildings and many delicious food. So far Taiping has managed to stay off the international tourist's radars.

Lake Gardens of Taiping-Malaysia. Considered the most beautiful gardens of Malaysia. The highlight of this place is the row of rain trees with weird branches stretching towards the waters of the lake, providing shades for visitors from the blazing sun. The rain trees are more than 100 years ago planted by the British when the town is a mining area dominated by the Chinese. Its a pure joy coming to Taiping for relaxation and enjoy the slow paced of life. Maxwell Hill, being the oldest hill station in Malaysia hugs along the Lake Gardens.

Taman Tasik Taiping dibuka pada tahun 1880, Taman Tasik Taiping merupakan taman awam yang pertama di Malaysia. Taman tasik yang pada asalnya kawasan perlombongan bijih timah ketika zaman penjajahan British ini juga adalah taman yang terbesar di Malaysia dengan keluasan 64 hektar.
Di dalam tarikan alam semula jadi ini bukan hanya terdapat sebuah tasik tapi 10 buah tasik indah yang di sekitarnya berdiri pohon-pohon angsana yang membekalkan oksigen yang menyegarkan kepada sesiapa yang bersantai di sini.
Untuk pengetahuan anda, lanskap taman ini merupakan hasil rekaan seorang warga British bernama Charles Compton. Antara fasiliti yang terdapat di taman ini adalah kolam teratai, taman Jepun, jambatan zig-zag, laluan rollerskate, trek berjogging, ruang refleksologi, bot pedal dan lain-lain lagi.

Known as Peninsular Malaysia’s wettest town, Taiping was placed third, behind Ljubljana, the capital of Slovenia, and Vancouver, Canada in the Best of Cities category, which awards cities that show leadership in urban sustainability and in avoiding disruptive over-tourism.
The recognition was given during the 2019 Sustainable Top 100 Destination Awards at the International Tourismus-Börse (ITB) travel trade show in Berlin, Germany on Wednesday (Mar 6).

Raintree Walk is not only famous for locals but tourist too are visiting here.
This is a nice place to spend time with your family & friends.The tall green trees is amazing.The lake was a beautiful sight .
My friends and family really enjoyed our day day here .There is also a bicycle for rent

Lake Taiping / Taman Tasik Taiping (太平湖，马来西亚) is a 62 hectare public lake garden built in 1880 from an abandoned tin mine in Perak, Malaysia and north of Ipoh. Taiping means Everlasting Peace. This video shows only the South Lake and West Lake early in the morning.
It is famous for its century-old rain trees (Samanea saman) - you can see their branches arch down to the water's edge. In the background is Bukit Larut (previously Maxwell Hill), the oldest hill station in Malaysia. Near the lake is Taiping Zoo and night safari.
