International Coastal Cleanup at Taklong Island National Marine Reserve
On September 21, 2019, the world celebrated the International Coastal Cleanup. The DENR-PENRO Guimaras, LAFARMA and SARCEPA People's Organization of Brgys. La Paz and San Roque, Nueva Valencia and the Philippine Coast Guard cleaned up three sites at Taklong Island National Marine Reserve: Binabaywan Island and Kamantigue Gamay and Dako.

This premiere was made through the effort of media partners.
This Island Hopping pack from the Magic Island Resort was given to the Faculty and Support Staff of NIPSC Batad Campus after their Team Building activity last May 2019.
Magic Island Resort is located at Dungcaan, Nueva Valencia, Guimaras. Featuring the islets of Taklong Island National Marine Reserve including Binabaywan Island, Sapa/Suba Malawig, Piagau Beach, Crocodile Island, and Taklong Cave to the drop off for swimming at the Floating Cottage.
Taklong Island National Marine Reserve was declared a marine reserve by virtue of Proclamation No. 525, s. 1990. It covers 46 islands and islets with white sand beaches.
