Ancient Historical London Sites -The Charterhouse
Here's a look at one of London's most ancient and historically important sites. The Charterhouse in Clerkenwell was originally a plague pit but has had many incarnations since medieval times. Julian McDonnell Joolz Guides takes you on a tour with one of the brothers.

After Sir Walter Manny acquired permission from the pope to build a Carthusian Monastery here it suffered greatly when King Henry Viii came along.
One poor prior had his arm nailed to the top of the gate which still stands today.
Queen Elizabeth I held her first court at the Charterhouse too!
Later it was acquired by the richest man in England, Thomas Sutton, who opened a school for poor boys and a home for elderly men fallen on hard times.
It was within these very walls that two of the rules of football originated. The off-side rule and the throw in rule.
There is also a free museum and beautiful gardens.
Many film productions have taken place at The Charterhouse (which comes from the French Chartreuse)
Why not organise a visit to the Charterhouse and don't forget to say Pip Pip Tally Ho so they know you saw my film!

Unmissable Guide To London
We’ve spent a good few months telling you about amazing things to do around the world and we thought it’s about time for us to introduce ourselves properly and give you a taste of our city.
Ross oversees the Unmissable brand and Jane coordinates the content that you see and love. This is London – the home of Unmissable – the city where Ross grew up and Jane has adopted as a new home.
There is no shortage of sights and activities to occupy your time in this incredible city. From Big Ben to Hyde Park, London is teeming with history, culture and all sorts of amazing things to do. Today, we are showing you our favourite spots in the city.
We’ll take you to London Sea Life Aquarium where we’ll go for a thrilling snorkel with the six varieties of sharks of all shapes and sizes. Then we’ll grab food from some of our favourite stalls at Borough Market. We’ll head over to Bermondsey Distillery where Jane can learn all about the most British spirit – gin! Afterwards, we will jump on a couple of bikes and get a proper tour of the London sights from the experts at Tally Ho Bike Tours.

Cycling Through London
A superb way to see London.
One of the best things I did while I was there, super interesting and thoroughly enjoyable 4 hours getting to parts of the city that would be impossible to reach by other means.

Sunday afternoon in London - Tipsy Tea at Mr Foggs
One of my favourite ways to spend Sunday afternoon in London is to go for Tipsy Tea at Mr Fogg's Residence in Mayfair.
Served in the beautiful setting of Phileas Fogg's front room where you will see all the amazing souvenirs collected by Phileas Fogg on his journey Around The World In 80 Days. You will have afternoon tea with a difference! Served with an infusion of gin, champagne or other spirits. No afternoon tea would be complete without cucumber sandwiches and scones with jam.
There is music, table magic and friendly staff.
Remember to say Pip Pip Tally Ho and quote Joolz Guides on the door to get a free welcome drink too, but make a reservation as it gets busy!
Tom Carradine performs here every Tuesday night and the Tipsy Tea is served on weekends.

Absolutely Top Hole East End Walk Around Bethnal Green - London
Taking a walk around London's Bethnal Green is somewhat different from how it once was, but there are still some pockets of the area which remain true to its past and there are some wonderful cafes and museums to visit with a rich history.
I would definitely start with breakfast at E. Pellicci Cafe. It's an absolute treat with Grade 2 listed status and 1940s interior. The staff are friendly and funny too.
There is also authentic Pie and Mash at Kelly's and the Victorian and Albert Museum of childhood.
Bethnal Green was famous for the blind beggar who was actually Henry de Montfort, sone of the Earl of Leicester and many balads have been written about him. In this film Lil Lost Lou sings her own version of The Blind Beggar of Bethnal Green.
Bethnal Green was also the stamping ground of the notorious Kray Twins and we go past some of their haunts, where they went to school and boxed and of course where The Krays drank!
In addition there is the usual history of the buildings and some of London's first social housing experiments.
