Tang Paradise, Datang, Furong Yuan in Xi'an of Shannxi Province, Tang Dynasty
Tang Paradise or Datang Furong Garden is the first cultural theme park of imperial garden style in China disintering the glory of the Tang Dynasty in its golden period.
The original Furong Garden in the history stood alongside Qujiang Lake. As early as in the Qin Dynasty, a famous imperial garden was built here making full use of the natural land and waterscape of Qujiang. The garden named Yichun Yuan was exactly the precursor of the later Furong Garden.
Afterwards, in the Sui Dynasty, Emperor Wen ordered his Prime Minister, Gao Ying, to change the name of the garden. Gao Ying then renamed it Furong Garden after the lotus flowers on the lake, which were extremely beautiful in full blossom at that time. And Furong is an elegant name for the lotus in ancient China.
The public garden areas were open to all. Every year, especially in spring time, Chang’an civilians would like to come and enjoy green willow trees and singing birds, which was unprecedented not only in the history of Xi’an city, but also in the history of China. To some extent it also demonstrates the culture of Tang, being free and open minded

Tang Paradise Theme Park - Xi'an
The Tang Paradise theme park is located SE of Xi'an city centre. Admission to the park is currently 90 RMB. The major problem with the park is actually finding the entertainment performances located around the park at different times of the day. The information and map provided at the entrance is most confusing for foreigners and locals alike. Each performance last 10 minutes and some have even been cancelled, which can be most frustrating.

01 Xi'an muslim street - Review Guide China tour
Map:
As its name suggests, Hui people (also called Muslims) live on the street and sell their specialties and snacks. Visitors who have been there must be familiar with Hong Kong Fried Rice with Pickled Cabbage, Jia San Soup Dumplings and Tong Sheng Xiang Pita Bread Soaked in Lamb Soup.
It’s said that the Moslem street was a busy commercial street in ancient times. There were around 108 grain stores and 10 butcher shops that sold beef and duck meat. People living here are said to be the descendents of Arabian and Persian envoys, businessmen and overseas students who came to Chang’an during Han and Tang Dynasties.

Tang Dynasty Village Singapore mpeg4
The Tang Dynasty Village was opened in 1992 costing over $100 million and occupied a area of 12 ha land in Jurong. The village was model on the ancient 7th century village of Chang 'An in mainland China, now today city of Xian. The enterance to the park was a full scale replica of The Great Wall and attractions included life size replicas of Emperor Qin Shi Huang's terracotta army, a stunning laser light show
The theme park was open for only 7 year before final closure in 1999 due to a number of events, some people blame the Asian finacial crisis, some the high addmission charge, others say the park was dull, uninteresting.....
After closure the Tang Dynasty Village enterance was boarded up and the village was left abandon for several years while the landowners tries to find a alternative use. Although the buildings were stripped of anything of value, the buildings were left to slowly decay as nature take over
In May 2008 decision was finally made to demolish the site, by November the site was levelled.
