Kota Kinabalu, a region of Sabah located in Malaysia, has been the perfect place to start our travels in Borneo. Our Tanjung Aru Air BnB was a 10 minute ride from the airport, and it a 15 minute walk to the Tanjung Aru beach. Despite our initial thoughts, you can wear whatever you want in Malaysia! There are NO DRESS CODES! Ana was happy as a clam in her bikini on the beach.
