8 Things NOT to Do in Boston
Get more Tips here! destinationtips.com
Ahh Boston, One of the oldest cities in the United States, home to the Red Sox, Paul Revere and the finest clam chowder you've ever tasted. It's the perfect place to visit! But unless you want immediately stand out like a tourist or like being the victim of tourist traps, pay attention to these 8 things NOT to do in Boston.
1 Don’t Get A Paper Ticket For The T
You'll pay 55 cents more per ride If you buy a ticket for the T from the machine in the station, than if you get a re-loadable plastic CharlieCard. You can get them for free from a T attendant.
2 Don’t Forget to Hold on When Riding the Green Line
The train jerks around and brakes sharply and unexpectedly while it makes many frequent stops. And avoid it entirely after a Red Sox game, unless you like being pressed against a happy or angry group of drunk people (depending on the score).
3 Don't Go to Cheers.
Though the sitcom Cheers did use the real Beacon Hill watering hole for the Bull & Finch Pub exterior shots, its interior bears little resemblance to the bar on the show. For that, you'd have to go to Cheers at Faneuil Hall, which features a replica of the show's set. Both are overpriced tourist traps anyway so just snap a photo and be on your way.
4 Don’t Plan to Party After 2:00 A.M.
Boston goes to bed early. Bars have to close by 2:00 a.m., many announcing last call well before that. However, public transportation stays running (with limited service) until 2:00 a.m. on Friday and Saturday nights.
5 Don't Go to Mike’s Pastry.
The line is always long and despite being the most famous bakery in the city, as any local will tell you, it’s far from the best.
6 Don’t Expect a Regular Coffee to be Black
In Boston, if you order a regular coffee it will come loaded with sugar and cream, not plain black.
7 Don’t Drive
One way systems, construction, random dead ends, pedestrians scurrying across the street, there's no doubt, Boston's streets are confusing and stressful. And with a serviceable public transportation system, not to mention a surplus of Ubers and taxis, why not take advantage?
8 Don’t Rent and Ride on the Sidewalk
Renting a bike is a great way to get around Boston and while seeing the city. Just ride in the bike lanes and not on the sidewalks. Aside from making everyone on the sidewalk hate you, it's illegal!
What city would you like to know what not to do in next? Comment below!
Walk through the North End of Boston.
Walk through some of the stops on the Freedom trail in Boston Massachusetts.
Including Quincy Market, Paul Reveres home, The Old North Church where Paul Revere hung his lanterns as a signal for the Patriots, one if by land, two if by sea. Copps Hill Burying ground where the British attacked the Patriots across the river in Charlestown, during the Battle of Bunker hill. The final scenes are some of the original pubs where the Patriots planned and executed the Revolutionary war.

The Stonewall riots were a series of spontaneous, violent demonstrations by members of the gay (LGBT) community against a police raid that took place in the early morning hours of June 28, 1969, at the Stonewall Inn (nightclub / bar / disco), located on Christopher Street in the Greenwich Village neighborhood of Manhattan, New York City. They are widely considered to constitute the single most important event leading to the gay liberation movement and the modern fight for LGBT rights in the United States.

1946 VICTORY DAY PARADE MENDON MASSACHUSETTS 33194
Dating from September 7, 1946, this fascinating and poignant 16mm silent home movie pays tribute to all those who gave their lives in World War II. The entire population of the small town of Mendon, Massachusetts is seen decked out in bunting, and there are many celebrations and a special memorial to those local residents who lost their lives in the conflict. The film ends with many shots of local children, including a little league baseball game, and with them perhaps hope that the future would be brighter...
Mendon is a town in Worcester County, Massachusetts, United States. The population was 5,839 at the 2010 census. Mendon is very historic and is now part of the Blackstone River Valley National Heritage Corridor, the oldest industrialized region in the United States.

Episode 14 LIVE from Boston @ The Baseball Tavern (Episode Highlight)
Episode 14 we broadcasted LIVE from the shadow of historic Fenway Park in Boston @ The Baseball Tavern. We were surprisingly greeted with warm reception despite the Mets beating the Sox 8-0 the night prior… Likely because the game was meaningless for them and they won more than 100 games this season, the first time since 1946.
We talked Boston sports, the Mets & David Wright, NFL & fantasy football, and gave our Mount Rushmore of Boston sport figures. We even had a loyal multiplier make the trip up to Boston to support the show! Boston was an exciting time and we’ll surely be back to broadcast from The Baseball Tavern again!
