$10 Wine Tasting and Delicious Food Review on 'Te Motu Arai Roa' - Waiheke Island.
Follow me to my food & drinks adventure on Waiheke Island, a lovely place known for many famous vineyards and restaurants.
For the first stop, I had my wine tasting at the 'Mudbrick' vineyard. There were a couple of options in term of wine tasting but you can go as low as $10 for 4 glasses of wine. The wine were excellent, especially the dessert wine is a must try. You will be servered by some lovely bartenders who has great knowledge about wine and Waiheke land. A great experience at a little cost.
On the second stop, we dined at a Italian restaurant called Fenice cafe - one of the most popular restaurant on this island. The food was exceptional, the service was lovely and it didn't cost an arm and leg ($20 ~ $25 per dish). This place even made their own tasty chilly sauce!
I highly recommend these two places, make sure you check them out when visiting Waiheke Island.

Waiheke Island Wine Tour and Army Bay Beach NZ
The first half of this video features the wine tour my sister Jeanne and I took on Waiheke Island on February 13 2017. After taking a ferry to Waiheke we enjoyed a guided van tour to three wineries and then lunch at Fenice Restaurant in the village of Oneroa. Our six tour mates were very congenial and as we visited each winery, Casita Miro, Obsidian and Te Motu we became more and more friendly.
The 2nd half of this video was our adventure to Army Bay Beach on February 18, 2017. This is located on the Whangaparaoa Peninsula about 20 miles north of Auckland. The cliffs, rock formations, and sea-swept Pohutakawa trees are truly unique. We arrived at high tide but in spite of that found plenty of treasures. This is truly a unique and wonderful place!
