Temenggor Lake (Malay: Tasik Temenggor) is the second largest lake in Peninsula Malaysia after Kenyir Lake in Terengganu, Malaysia. This man-made lake is located south of 1,533 m high Ulu Titi Basah peak,in Hulu Perak district in the state of Perak. It was created after the construction of Temenggor Dam to generate electric power. The lake is located about 45 km from the Hulu Perak district capital, Gerik. There is a man-made island, Banding Island (Pulau Banding) and Lake Temenggor Bridge on the East-West Highway which crosses the lake.

Pada 16 - 18 Januari 2020 (Khamis-Sabtu) Pejabat Pendaftar Universiti Malaysia Kelantan (UMK) telah menganjurkan Program Team Building di Tasik Kenyir, Terengganu
Program ini adalah berkonsepkan nature adventure (jungle/waterfall trekking, penginapan dalam houseboat/camp, indoor/outdoor games) .
Terima kasih kepada pihak pengurusan Pesona Houseboat dan Impiana Houseboat yang turut beri kerjasama dan sudi menjadi tour guide sepanjang kami menginap 3 hari 2 malam di Tasik Kenyir.

Weekend in GERIK Malaysia - Hosted by Johanna & Troy
Friends and fellow mentors, Troy & Jo, invited Kurt, Laura and I up to their neighbourhood for the weekend. We visited Temenggor Lake in the wee hours of Saturday morning. Caught a glimpse of several hornbills and a few other furry friends. Unfortunately came upon the largest dead squirrel to date and put him in his resting place. RIP buddy :-)
Next, we made a short trek with a few more friends through 130 million year-old rainforest to a 3-tiered waterfall to nourish the mind, body & soul!
Ended the day off with a good ol' fashioned charcoal BBQ and more chicken wings than a pack of humans can scoff down in one go.

Eco-resort Belum
Promo for eco-resort Belum located in the heart of Temenggor lake. Made during our volunteering stay in July 2016.
Belum Eco Resort is an small island resort located at the heart of the Temenggor Lake, it is approximately a 20 minutes journey by boat from the Pulau Banding Public Jetty.
The resort provides packaged tours 3D2N to 4D3N stay for its guest, and guest have the option of staying on a house boat or one of its 12 'A' chalets built alongside the hillside on the island. The chalets blend harmoniously with the environment keeping in-line with its concept of being eco-friendly.
The packaged tour comes complete with activities across the day, and most guest will spend time on the island and also outbound into the surrounding areas in the Belum-Temenggor Forest Reserve (BTFR).
