Temple Of Demeter Naxos - Ancient Greece
The Temple of Demeter was built in the 6th century BC. The temple was partially dismantled in the 6th century AD when a church was built over it. In later centuries the site was abandoned and plundered for its marble.
Just outside the village of Sangri on Naxos Island in the Cyclades is the attractive ruin of the Temple of Demeter. Demeter is a grain goddess, so it seems only natural to find her temple among the rich fields of Naxos.
Intimate little archaeological site where one can see the first known temple to use some of the optical refinements later used in the Parthenon. Free. Very windy and dry, bring sun protection if you plan to spend much time. Consult a guide or history book as well as there is limited interpretive signage on site.

Ancient Greek Temple of Demeter and Kore at Thorikos | Lavrion-Sounion
In a distance less than a kilometre from the ancient theatre of Thorikos, one stumbles upon the ruins of a temple hidden among lavish green fields and tall trees. Parts of the foundation, some broken columns, capitals and two statue pedestals is all that has survived from the large marble building, which is believed to have beena temple dedicated to Demeter and her daughter (kore) Persephone. An inscription found nearby suggests that a sanctuary dedicated to the 'two goddesses' had existed prior to the construction of the temple. The location as well as the association of the goddess of agriculture with Thorikos, according to the Homeric Hymn to Demeter (I was abducted by pirates. After a while, sailing with their swift ship, they landed at the harbor of Thorikos), make it all the more plausible that there was a sacred site linked with the cult of Demeter.

Also known as the Temple of Cthonian Deities, this temple was devoted to Demeter and her daughter Kore Persephone. I looked up the flower I see during the reading and it matches the narcissus flower of the story of Kore and Hades. The pictures show a white flower with a dark orange center where I was seeing more reddish.
