Lares Trek by Terra Quechua
Real live in lares community huacahuasi and yanahuara The heartland of the Incas, Peru is quite simply a travellers dream. Its a land of dense jungles, lost cities, Andean peaks, urban beaches and ancient ruins. A visit to the breath-taking lost city of Machu Picchu is a must, and reaching it is an adventure in itself; either by train from the colonial gem of Cuzco or alternatively trekking along the famous Inca Trail, or the less-travelled alternative, the Lares. But Peru offers so much more. Spot exotic jungle wildlife in the mighty Amazon rainforest, explore the Taquille and Uros islands by reed canoe on Lake Titicaca, or get a birds-eye view of the mysterious Nazca lines from the sky. A land like no other, Peru encompasses the whole world in one country and is sure to live long in the memory.
Reviews Lares Trek 4days and 3nihght By Terra Quechua
A trek through the dramatic high Andean scenery of the Urubamba range to the east of the Sacred Valley of the Incas; visiting highland villages where life goes on much as it did centuries ago and local inhabitants continue the ancient textile traditions of their ancestors. From these high, open spaces we descend by train into the lush forests around Machu Picchu, where our trip ends with a visit to this most famous of lost cities.

The Original People of Peru: The Quechua (Indigenous People Documentary) | TRACKS
The Quechua are indigenous people living in the highlands of Peru and neighbouring countries, far away from modern society. Follow along as they make the strenuous pilgrimage to the sanctuary of the Señor de Quyllurit'i.
The documentary series “Disappearing World” was originally broadcasted between 1970-1975. As an anthropological landmark of its time, the series tells the story of traditional communities endangered by the modern world’s progressions.
The series stands as a historical document of daily life in remote and threatened societies, such as the Cuiva, Embera and Panare Indians of Colombia, the nomadic Tuareg of the Sahara, the Kurdish Dervishes and the Meo of China.
TRACKS publishes unique, unexpected and untold stories from across the world every week.
