First Snow video of Abington Park in Northampton. The Beast From The East came over the UK in March 2018 and it was snowing all day. Needless to say it was freezing cold day with a biting wind blowing across the park.
I am still learning to use the camera for video, so my apologies if the footage is shaky or jerky in places.

A Trip to Abington Park
I'm back with another historical vlog!
This time i went to Abington Park museum and explored the grounds, it was a rather chilly day but I had a great time venturing round the old House and learning a bit of history about Northampton.
I also had a walk round the park where i could bird watch and chill out to a band at the band stand.
Sometimes it's nice to do something a bit different than the usual routine!

Evp recording i made at a supposed haunted location just on the border of my home town, Northampton. This was captured at early hours of the morning around late summer/early autumn 2019. I have titled it girl humming as it sounds like to me a girl humming a melody which can be heard towards the end of the clip. Unless you have an interest in Northampton, or in history, you may find them a bit heavy-going. Sorry about that, but for anyone else, I hope you find them slightly interesting at least. Also, I apologise for the quality and dodgy editing, but it was originally edited through an Amiga 1200, so I couldn't even remove the crappy music either.

History
Overstone Hall was built in 1866 for the first Lord Overstone aka Samuel Lloyd and featured examples of cutting-edge technology including a central heating system, gas lighting and the earliest-known cavity wall insulation.The house was designed by W M Teulon, younger brother of the renowned Victorian architect S S Teulon. The house has extensive parquet flooring and massive, elaborately carved exposed oak timbers. Built of limestone ashlar with a slate roof, the garden elevation is dominated by an imposing square tower. It was sold to become a girls school in 1929 and remained a girls school until 1979 when the pressures of looking after such a vast pile became too much and it was eventually sold to the New Testament Church of God for a £100,000 in 1980 who occupied it until 2008. In 2001 the northern half of the main building was badly damaged by fire and has never been restored. In 2010 it was put up for sale for £1 million, with no takers. The fire which destroyed part of the beautiful Overstone Hall started in one of the upper rooms on the eastern side of the building. Approximately 60 per cent of the building was gutted within 12 hours, destroying all of the best-loved features of the house, including its breathtaking wooden staircase and magnificent library, along with the elegant parquet flooring which graced the public rooms and corridors. It boasted 119 rooms totalling around 20,000 sq ft and is surrounded by a 50-acre park and grounds which contain three lakes, the old carriage block, walled garden and farm buildings. The local councils preference is that it becomes a single house but to do so would require someone with big ideas and very deep pockets, willing to spend at least £5-10m on restoration on top of the £1.5m to buy the house and 50-acres.

A house at the junction of Little Billing Way and Swinford Hollow in Northampton is hit by a car. Two people have been taken to hospital. The car appears to have hit just below the first floor.
