Man shot by police in Belgium after putting gun against head of woman
The shooting incident took place around 18 pm in the Flanders Street in the center of Ghent. The police went on site and the road was completely closed. Ghent local police confirmed that there was a shooting, but said that all danger has passed.
We had a call stating that there is an armed man on the road. Our teams have gone there and found a man with a gun. They summoned him to drop the weapon. The man did not follow the orders, after which they neutralized him. E can not provide other information as part of the judicial investigation.

Today we were here to enter the NATO buildings to stop NATO, to say NATO is 60 years old and it has no reason to exist any more, that it is a nuclear alliance and we are strongly against that and by crossing the border, by crossing, going on the military territory we make a point that we disagree with the nuclear vision of NATO.

STORYLINE:
Police detained about 400 out of 500 peace activists who tried to get into NATO headquarters in Brussels to protest the alliance's 60th anniversary.
A protest spokesman said NATO was causing more problems than it solves.
Group activists from NATO Game Over say the 26-nation alliance is not helping to bring peace around the world because some of its members still keep stockpiles of nuclear missiles and they are fighting a losing war in Afghanistan.
The activists, who believe the alliance endangers their security, said they were trying to enter NATO property and symbolically seal the building's gates, windows and doors.
It's endangering our security and therefore we want to have an end to NATO, Hans Lammerant, NATO Game Over's spokesman said.
It is a nuclear alliance and we are strongly against that, a Dutch activist said.
Police riding on horseback blocked the protesters.
Water cannons were present but were not used.
The activists vow to hold more protests during NATO's anniversary summit next month in France and Germany.

More clashes during massive demo as workers protest Belgian labour reform
At least 14 people were injured during clashes between protesters and police in Brussels on Thursday.
Protesters set fire to a van and threw rocks at police, who used water cannon to break up the disturbances.
About 100-thousand protesters marched through the Belgian capital to protest against government policies that will raise the pension age, end the automatic link between wages and inflation, and cut public services.
The march marked the start of a month-long campaign against Belgium's free-market liberal coalition government and will be capped with a nationwide strike on 15 December.
The government says it is being forced to push through stringent austerity measures to keep the budget deficit within European Union constraints and insists businesses need more lenient tax policies to become more competitive in the global market.
