The Botanic Garden of the Jagiellonian University was founded in 1783 in Kraków. It is located east of the Old Town and occupies 9.6 hectares. It is the oldest botanical garden in Poland.

The University Botanical Garden in Krakow, 27 Kopernika Street. The oldest botanical garden in Poland established in 1779 and it´s Renaissance Palace, rebuild in 1792, today in use for the University´s Astronomic Observatory. Krakow Poland Botanical Gardens - Tropical Walk / City Break
A short walk through some of the Palm houses at the Botanic Gardens of the Jagiellonian University - Krakow Poland.
An inner city oasis, vast colourful gardens filled with interesting plants from far flung corners of the globe sit among the shadows of the tall, dominating almost sci-fi looking palm houses.
The Gardens are spectacular, we visited in September so most of the outdoor flowers had past there best however inside the Palm houses was a different story, Take a step with us into the humid mini jungle!
I would highly recommend adding this fantastic location to your Krakow travel itinerary! Another highlight, it's very cheap too!

The botanical garden in Krakow may not be Kew Gardens but it is nice for a walk on a sunny day.
