Amur River Bridge to open in late 2019 | CCTV English
Construction on the first cross-border bridge across the Amur River connecting the Russian city of Blagoveshchensk and China's Heihe is expected to be complete in late 2019. When open, it will become significant cross-border infrastructure in China's Belt and Road Initiative and the China-Mongolia-Russia economic corridor.

Russia: Frozen Amur River hosts China-Russia ice hockey match
Two Russian and Chinese amateur ice hockey teams held a friendly match on the frozen Amur River, right on the border between the two countries, in the Amur Region on Saturday.
Amur Region Governor Alexander Kozlov was one of the Russian team's players, and afterwards said that the idea to hold the game on the river was initiated during a meeting with the governor and his Chinese counterpart from Heilongjiang Province across the river in spring 2016. It seemed impossible then, but today we see that it is possible, we are here and we are playing, Kozlov said.

ᡠᠯᠠ; Möllendorff: Sahaliyan Ula; Abkai: Sahaliyan Ula, Black Water) is the world's tenth longest river, forming the border between the Russian Far East and Northeastern China. The largest fish species in the Amur is the kaluga, attaining a length as great as 5.6 metres.
