Heihe Bridge - New Highway Bridge Between Russia And China Across The Amur River
Work on the span of a key new highway bridge between Russia and China across the Amur River was completed in May 2019. The work on the bridge overall is currently in its final stages, having begun in 2016. The company in charge of building the Russian side of the bridge is SK Most Group of Companies. The 1080.7-meter-long and 11.5-meter-wide bridge is part of China's Belt One Road (OBOR) initiative, which is expected to have a major impact on the way countries in Asia are connected. It will provide an artery for transportation infrastructure across East and Southeast Asia.

China-Russia cross-border rail bridge nears completion
The first cross-border railway bridge linking China and Russia is nearing completion as workers began fitting the last girder over the Russian side on Monday. The bridge is 7,193m long and is on the Heilongjiang River, also known as the Amur River in Russia. It will connect the city of Tongjiang, in northeast China's Heilongjiang Province, with Nizhneleninskoye in Russia. The main bridge spans 2,215m, with 1,886m of that standing in China. Construction of the bridge, which has a designed annual throughput capacity of 21 million metric tons, began in February 2014.

China-Russia cross-border bridges to be opened by end of year
Although the border between China and Russia stretches for over 4,200 kilometers, the number of border crossings is small. But, by the end of this year, two very important bridges over the Heilongjiang River, known as the Amur River in Russia, will open. Both are being constructed in the Russian Far East and they will increase the number of cross-border goods exchanged to millions of tons. CGTN’s Aljosa Milenkovic was at the construction site of one of these two bridges and has this report.

We did a lot of shots for the three episodes documentary Amur. Here two breakdowns.
AN EPIC WATERSCAPE
In Northeast Asia, stretching for 5,000 kilometres from Mongolia eastward to Russia’s Pacific coast and from Siberia southward to China and North Korea, lies the sprawling basin of the Amur River. The Amur or Heilongjiang, as it is called in China, is one of the planet’s ten mightiest rivers, yet it is hardly known to westerners. For two thousand kilometres, it forms the border between Russia and China – one of the reasons why much of this region used to be a secret, a forbidden zone. Connecting a great variety of landscapes and climates, the Amur’s network of countless rivers includes the planet’s vastest expanses of wild grassland, mountain tundra, boreal forest, volcanic moonscapes, floodplains and wetlands, subtropical forests, the pristine coast of the North Pacific as well as some of Asia’s most productive farmland.
Russia: Frozen Amur River hosts China-Russia ice hockey match
Two Russian and Chinese amateur ice hockey teams held a friendly match on the frozen Amur River, right on the border between the two countries, in the Amur Region on Saturday.
Amur Region Governor Alexander Kozlov was one of the Russian team's players, and afterwards said that the idea to hold the game on the river was initiated during a meeting with the governor and his Chinese counterpart from Heilongjiang Province across the river in spring 2016. It seemed impossible then, but today we see that it is possible, we are here and we are playing, Kozlov said.

Хабаровск - столица Дальнего Востока 2000-2018. Основан 31 мая 1858 года. Статус города получил в 1880 году. Название Хабаровск получил 2 ноября 1893 году в честь русского землепроходца XVII века Ерофея Павловича Хабарова.
В мае 2000 года соответствии с указом президента России В. В. Путина в Российской Федерации стал Столицей Дальнего Востока. Осенью 2018 после победы на губернаторских выборах в Хабаровску представителя от партии ЛДПР, отменил своё решение.
В 2010 году город получил второе место в рейтинге Forbes как благоприятный город России для ведения бизнеса, уступив при этом первенство Краснодару.
Город неоднократно занимал первые места среди административных центров субъектов РФ в конкурсе на звание «Самый благоустроенный город России» за 2004, 2006, 2008 и 2012 года.
По результатам исследования, проведённого в 2012 году Общественной палатой, Хабаровск был признан самым дорогим для жизни городом в России.
