Trump Wields DOJ As Russia, Media Reprise 2016 Roles For 2020 | Rachel Maddow | MSNBC
Rachel Maddow looks at the curiously quiet treatment of the end of the Hillary Clinton e-mail story that shaped the 2016 election and notes that the media seems no better prepared for Russia's continued online campaigns to help Donald Trump, but for the 2020 election Donald Trump has the power and authority of Attorney General Bill Barr and the DOJ at his disposal. Aired on 10/21/19.

Allen Johnson: Interview, People and the Land (2017)
Allen (Al) Johnson was interviewed by Sy Adler on June 2, 2017.
Al Johnson is a retired Oregon land use attorney who founded and practiced with the firm Johnson, Kloos and Sherton (originally Johnson and Kloos) in the 1980s and 1990s. From 1993 until his retirement, he represented public- and private-sector clients throughout the state. He worked as a hearings official for the Oregon Land Conservation and Development Commission in the 1970s. After his retirement in 2010, he served as a member of the Urban Growth Boundary Residential Lands Technical Advisory Committee for the city of Bend, Oregon.
This oral history interview is part of People and the Land, a collaboration between the Oregon Department of Land Conservation and Development and Portland State University. The goal of this project is to document and preserve a record of Oregon’s land use program through the recording, transcription, collection and archiving of personal oral histories.
The project is intended to enable Oregon’s statewide planning agency to make a significant, abiding contribution to the body of literature that records and analyzes the politics, policy, and practices that make Oregon's land use program unique.

Dreamers and Deportations
The Hart Leadership Program convened a public conversation about “Dreamers,” focusing on the experiences and leadership that young undocumented men and women have generated across political, generational, and cultural divides.
The conversation included:
Maggie Loredo: Maggie founded Otros Dreams en Accion, an organization that helps those who have been deported to Mexico get familiarized with their new home.
Adriana Figueroa: Adriana immigrated to the United States at age 5 and returned to Mexico when she was 18. She was recently granted her tourist visa (after 12 years) and this was only her second time on US soil since she left.
Axel Herrera: Dreamer and founder of the Duke University chapter of Define American, a national organization that looks to humanize the conversation around immigrants, citizenship, and identity.
Moderator: Gunther Peck, Director, Hart Leadership Program.
The project is part of a series called Connect2Politics, a leadership initiative for Duke undergraduates interested in political engagement. The initiative is run by the Hart Leadership Program.

Geospatial Forum: Dr. Joseph Hummer
Speaker: Dr. Joseph Hummer | State Traffic Management Engineer, Mobility and Safety Division | North Carolina Department of Transportation
Abstract: Autonomous vehicles will be here soon and will cause major changes when they arrive, similar to the building of the Interstates in the 1950s. AVs will bring safety, ease congestion, and provide mobility for many people who now find it difficult to travel. They will also erase many jobs, erode highway funding, and take customers from public transportation. For geospatial professionals, AVs will mean great opportunities in mapping, routing, site location, advertising, land use changes, and other areas. This Forum provides a look ahead to the US with AVs and will describe how we need to prepare.
