Driving Deerfield Beach, Florida
Driving from Deerfield Beach, Florida to Boca Raton Resort And Club Waldolf Astoira Resort
Deerfield Beach is a city in Broward County, Florida, USA. The city is named for the numerous deer that once roamed the area. As of the 2010 United States Census, the population was 75,018. It is part of the Miami metropolitan area, which was home to 5,564,635 people at the 2010 census.
Deerfield Beach's history dates back to 1890 when a small settlement named Hillsborough was developed along the Hillsboro River. As the population grew to 20 by 1898, the settlement was now served by its own post office and the town was named Deerfield for the deer that grazed along the Hillsboro River.
By the early twentieth century, as the town's population continued to grow, the Florida East Coast Railroad constructed tracks en route to Miami bisecting Deerfield. Deerfield's early settlers were mostly farmers who grew pineapples, tomatoes, green beans, squash and fished along the Intracoastal Waterway. Through the 1940s, Deerfield remained a largely agricultural based community, but in 1939 the town's name was changed to Deerfield Beach to let tourists know it has a beach.
Deerfield Beach is located at
26°18′19″N 80°07′11″W.[9] According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 16.3 square miles (42.1 km2), of which 15.1 square miles (39.1 km2) is land and 1.2 square miles (3.0 km2) is water (7.12%).[4]
Deerfield Beach has a Tropical monsoon climate (Köppen climate classification Am), with hot summer days, frequent thunderstorms in the summer, with rain less frequent in the fall, and a threat of a light winter freeze from late November through early March caused by occasional cold fronts from the north, and even then not every year.
During the summer months average temperatures tend to be in the 80s, while during the winter temperatures tend to be in the 60s. July is generally the warmest month of the year with an average maximum temperature of 92 °F (33.3 °C), while the coldest month of the year is February with an average minimum temperature of 58 °F (14.4 °C). The all-time record high is 101 °F (38.3 °C) recorded in 1981, while the all-time record low is 21 °F (−6.1 °C) which was recorded in 1995. The year-round average temperature is 77 °F (25.0 °C).
The annual average precipitation at Deerfield Beach is 57.27 inches (1,455 mm). Summer months tend to be wetter than winter months. The wettest month of the year is June with an average rainfall of 7.3 inches (190 mm).

The Left Starts Grabbing Guns
Michael Medved discusses another lie from the left, we aren't trying to grab your guns! Um, yes you are... literally! Here is an excerpt from the WASHINGTON TIMES:
✦ A unanimous vote by village trustees Deerfield, Illinois, this week is primed to turn many legal gun owners into criminals on June 13. Fines of up to $1,000 per day will face citizens this summer if they ignore a ban on “semi-automatic rifles, pistols and shotguns with certain features.” (
There is a longer video of some council meeting video from Deerfield, here:

This Town Just Banned Assault Weapons. Anyone Who Refuses To Give Theirs Up Will Be Fined $1,000 A D
Inspired by the Parkland shooting, officials in Deerfield, Illinois, said assault weapons are “not reasonably necessary to protect an individual’s right or self-defense.” Village Board of Trustees members in Deerfield, Illinois, a suburb north of Chicago, voted Monday night to ban the possession, sale, and manufacture of assault weapons and high-capacity magazines in their community. After the February high school shooting that killed 17 students and staff in Parkland, Florida, Deerfield Mayor Harriet Rosenthal “directed staff and the Village attorney to prepare a report concerning the implementation of a ban of assault weapons,” according to a press release. “I believe the time has now come to revisit a complete ban of assault weapons,” Rosenthal said. On Monday night, the Deerfield Village Board unanimously approved the ban of assault weapons that will be effective starting June 13. The explicitly defines what constitutes an assault weapon, including semiautomatic rifles with a fixed magazine and a capacity to fit more than 10 rounds of ammunition, as well as shotguns with revolving cylinders, among others. The ordinance also lists specific models, including the AR-15 and AK-47, to be banned. A violation of the ban — i.e., any resident who does not give up their assault weapons by June 13 — will be fined up to $1,000 a day for each offense, the town said. Anyone in violation, and fined, could also be forced to “forfeit to the Village any assault weapon,” the ordinance states. The legislation is likely to face a legal challenge on constitutional grounds, but Village Manager Kent Street told the Chicago Tribune the ordinance was modeled on a Highland Park, Illinois, law from 2013 that survived in court. The Deerfield ordinance contends assault weapons are not covered by the Second Amendment. “The possession, manufacture, and sale of assault weapons in the Village of Deerfield is not reasonably necessary to protect an individual’s right to self-defense or the preservation or efficiency of a well-regulated militia,” the ordinance reads. A spokesperson for the Brady Campaign, a nonprofit organization that advocates for gun control, told BuzzFeed News that they “applaud” the actions by Deerfield “to keep their citizens safer.” “These ordinances have clearly and correctly been ruled constitutional, and we hope that Highland Park and Deerfield serve as positive examples for other communities moving forward,” the organization added. But the NRA said they were backing a legal challenge to the ordinance from a guns rights organization based in Illinois called Guns Save Life. In a press release provided to BuzzFeed News, the NRA said they have “support for a lawsuit brought by Guns Save Life challenging the Village of Deerfield, Illinois’ gun confiscation ordinance.” “We are going to fight this ordinance, which clearly violates our member’s constitutional rights, and with the help of the NRA I believe we can secure a victory for law-abiding gun owners

(BuzzFeed News has reached out to Boch for further comment.)
“The National Rifle Association is pleased to assist Guns Save Life in defense of this freedom,” said Chris W. Cox, the executive director of the NRA’s Institute for Legislative Action.

Illinois town bans a.ssault weapons, will fine those who keep them.
The town of Deerfield, Ill., has moved to ban assault weapons, including the AR-15 used in the school shooting in Parkland, Florida, claiming the measure will make the town more safe from mass shootings.
The ordinance was passed unanimously Monday by the Deerfield Village Board. It states the move is in the best interest of public health and will spur a culture change toward the normative value that assault weapons should have no role or purpose in civil society.
It also takes a swing at a popular reading of the Second Amendment, stating the weapons are not reasonably necessary to protect an individual's right of self-defense or to preserve a well-regulated militia.
Chicago Suburb Will Soon Ban the Possession, Sale and Manufacturing of “Assault Weapons”
The CBS station in Chicago reports that failure to comply with the ban can result in a fine of up to $1,000.
Deerfield’s definition of an “assault weapon” includes any “semiautomatic rifle that has a fixed magazine that has the capacity to accept more than 10 rounds of ammunition...” or “a semi-automatic pistol that has the capacity to accept a detachable magazine...”. The ban, which begins June 13th, is intended to draw attention. In a press release, Deerfield’s mayor said “We hope that our local decision helps spur state and national leaders to take steps to make our communities safer.” Well, what do you think about this move from Deerfield, Illinois?
