I SAW THE TRAIN! at TRAIN STREET in Hanoi & Exploring a Local Neighborhood | VIETNAM WALK
Watch my first train street video here:
(spoiler: the train didn't come, which is why I made this video ^^)
There are 2 different locations for Hanoi's TRAIN STREET where homes and businesses share their front steps with the railroad tracks and daily trains passing by.
The 1st location is on the north side of Hanoi Railway Station, the main train station in the city.
The 2nd location (in this video) is on the south side of the station and is much shorter in length than the other one.
The train passed by at exactly 1200pm, so if you want to see this train, you should come around 1130~1145am.
Google Maps:
After seeing the train, I went to Ngõ 222 Lê Duẩn alley located at the southern end of this train street. It's a nice walk into a local market back alley that loops around back towards the main road.
Just watch the video and you'll understand what I mean. hehehe
I really enjoyed this walk around video, I hope you did too! Let me know your thoughts, ask questions, or make suggestions for future videos in the comments! Thanks for all your support and love! ^^

The Caffinet | Hanoi Vietnam
Hey Geeks! Welcome to another episode of Coffee Geek TV
The Caffinet was the second most frequented specialty coffee cafe I visited and worked from during my time in Hanoi. The girls there are super friendly, hospitable and knowledgeable on Specialty Coffee and Tea from Vietnam. Definitely another 'must visit' for the Old Quarter of Hanoi.
Today I tried something different coffee, specialty coffee but in traditional Vietnamese style.

Hanoi Old Quarter Night Market - Hanoi Nightlife
Walking around the heart of Hanoi Vietnam – on weekend nights, it is easy to notice a crowed night market, known as Old Quarter Night Market.
The busy roads are blocked at night. No cars or any other type of transportation is allowed during night. The locals and tourists are free to roam the streets of the weekend night markets. The only noise you would hear is that of the crowded streets with people and music.
It has been over a decade since its opening, Old Quarter Night Market is a 1 kilometers long pedestrian street from Hang Dao street to Dong Xuan market. With the aim of promoting Vietnamese culture in foreigners’ eyes and Vietnamese new generation, the night market represents Hanoi’s cultural life and activities in the past. This walking street opens from 7p.m until 11p.m on Friday, Saturday and Sunday night and consists of over 3000 stalls from numerous small traders selling foods, clothes, accessories, daily goods, souvenirs and handicrafts.

Train Street Hanoi, Dangerous Railway Track Near Homes in Vietnam // Travel Vlog 2019
There is a crazy residential street in Hanoi where speeding trains pass through everyday. Making it one of the most dangerous rail way tracks in the world.
Tourists flock to the 'Train street' in the Old Quarter in Hanoi to see the trains race through a local street filled with cafes, bars and pedestrians.
Whilst most people would argue that a train passing through their neighborhood is a crazy dangerous thing, the local Vietnamese people have turned it into a must see tourist hot spot. Trust the Vietnamese to turn a curse into a blessing and a profit.
Update: Hanoi authorities to shut down 'Train Street' cafes over safety concerns. CNN (10th October 2019)

Hanoi to Saigon (200km of raw Honda Win road footage)
We drove from Hanoi to Ho-Chi-Minh-City in 19 days. This video is just raw road material i have put together.
For anyone who is interested in doing a similar roadtrip through Vietnam: It was a great experience and i would love to help with any questions... Just don t do it in 19days. 1 month of time would make it a lot less exhausting and u have time to rest at a location for a day.

Japan Town Saigon Night Life: Restaurants Bars Spas & karaokes
Everyday life scenes from Little Japan, an area around Le Thanh Ton and Thai Van Lung streets in downtown Hồ Chí Minh City where there are over 70 restaurants, spas and other businesses of the Japanese community, is appealing to not only tourists but also locals who want to discover Japanese culture and gastronomy. The location has got increasing public attention since a graffiti alley of Le Thanh Ton Street was created and has become a popular rendezvous for local youth and foreign tourists.
Different from other streets for foreign communities in town, like the backpacker area on Pham Ngu Lao, Bui Vien and De Tham streets or the Korean area on Pham Van Hai Street in Tan Binh District or a mixed community in HCMC’s District 7, Little Japan doesn’t have an animated look or exciting atmosphere but the simple wooden doors of the restaurants there covered by the curtains hung under the signs mostly in red, black and white colors and the tranquility make the place attractive.
People can have a closer look at this Japanese community whenever they enter the graffiti alley at 15B Le Thanh Ton. Especially, there’s a map of the whole residential area at the entrance of the alley and security guards are there to show where people can park their vehicles. No noise and no garbage is another highlight of the place.
The small and quiet alley is packed with many Japanese restaurants that are closely located and offer a diverse range of food such as sushi, noodles and cakes. Daichan Ramen, Bento Take Away, Sakura and Vanilla & Butter are some popular dishes.
The farther people get inside, the more Japanese-style spas, tourist agencies and galleries and rooms for rent they can find. Especially, there’s a long big wall featuring numerous graffiti artworks in bright colors by local young artists and groups. From an old and mossy wall, graffiti artists have transformed it into a lively painting to infuse a new spirit into the area. In early July, local residents decided not to allow new drawings and erase all the current artworks due to the noisy and messy environment caused by groups of youngsters who came for photography and filming.
Located in the alley at 8 Le Thanh Ton, Utopia Café is also a must-go-to place as it is considered an information center for Japanese strangers in the city as well as a relaxation place for Japanese expats to read books, newspapers, magazines, novels, and even mangas. The café was created in 2000 by two Japanese men, Ebuchi Shinya, and Sasaki Hideki. The duo also launched a foundation to help Agent Orange victims in Vietnam.
Other popular venues in the Little Japan area are Star Kitchen, a cooking studio created by Yuya Arashima, a 31-year-old man from Tokyo. The studio has recently drawn much attention of locals and foreigners who come to study how to make cakes and join in some cake tasting events, and Pizza 4P restaurant owned by Yosuke Masuko that receives positive comments from diners and some prestigious travel websites.
