I am NOT dressed for this!! - Donghwasa Temple in Daegu, South Korea
Donghwasa Temple is a staple here in Daegu, its one of the largest Buddhist temples here in Korea and is one of the most beloved because of the enormous Buddha statue and the rather popular temple stay options.
It was such an incredibly calm and peaceful day here for me, so Im really glad I got to share the day with you.
I was so surprised to see how many people were here in the freezing cold, but I totally understand why everyone would enjoy coming up for a relaxing day trip. The scenes were beautiful, the atmosphere was calming and the monks were plentiful and incredibly kind and welcoming.
If you’re looking for things to do in Daegu that is a guaranteed win, then I would highly recommend spending a day up in the mountain - and maybe bring a picnic!

St Francis Anglican Parish, Daegu, South Korea
On July 14th, 2013 there was a special guest, an Anglican Priest from Africa that spoke to the Korean congregation in English, with Korean translation. I wanted to honor his work by posting the service in its entirety. This will be the Parish Church that the Red Door will in the near future occupy for weekly worship starting September 29, 2013. There will be a Korean Service starting at 11am followed by a lunch. The time for the English service has yet been soldified but will occur at either 130pm or 4pm.
