Flag Day at The Highground Veterans Memorial Park in Neillsville, WI
Families gathered and heard the park bell ring 25 times for those special people who they came to celebrate for contributing to our freedom. Their names are now permanently cast here to be remembered for generations to come. This was a very special day at the Highground in Neilsville Wisconsin. Franki Sakschek sang our National Anthem in accompaniment with the American Legion Post 234 from Omro Wisconsin.

July 23, 2016 was a day filled with emotion and camaraderie. Fifty-two Veterans from Desert Shield, Desert Storm, Operation Enduring Freedom, Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation New Dawn headed to the Highground Veterans Memorial Park in Neillsville, Wisconsin. It was a somber atmosphere as those who gave the ultimate sacrifice during the Persian Gulf conflicts were remembered and those who survived were welcomed home.
This was just one of many missions conducted by Old Glory Honor Flight, an Appleton, Wisconsin based organization with a mission of thanking Veterans.
