Watch more How to Visit Los Angeles videos:
Planning a trip to Los Angeles? Learn about the top six museums to visit and what makes them special in this travel video. Set aside several hours for the Los Angeles County Museum of Art; it's the biggest art museum in the western United States.
Los Angeles may be best known for film but it also has an exciting art scene. LA is home to some of the best museums in the United States, and there are a number to choose from.
The J. Paul Getty Museum at the Getty Center is a favorite. The collection of Western art spans from the middle ages to today and includes work by masters like Ruben, Rembrandt, Van Gogh, Monet, and Manet.
There’s also the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, which is the biggest art museum in the western United States. The vast collection contains art from all over the world from different time periods, in a variety of mediums.
The Museum of Contemporary Art is the place to go for modern American and European art. Here you’ll find work by prestigious artists like Rothko, Rauschenberg, Hockney, de Kooning, and many more.
If you’re a museum-goer but art’s not your thing, visit the California Science Center to see the collection of aircraft, spacecraft, and robotic spacecraft. You can even see the Space Shuttle Endeavor here.
Or visit the Page Museum to see the La Brea Tar Pits, an excavation site of Ice Age fossils. The fossils themselves are displayed in the museum, where you can also learn about the history of the tar pits.
Finally, of course LA has some museums dedicated to it’s entertainment history -- Visit the Hollywood Museum in the Max Factor Building to see vintage posters, costumes, cars, and other unique Hollywood memorabilia.
There’s no lack of variety in LA’s museum scene, so there’s sure to be something for everybody.

VISITING THE MUSEUM OF DEATH IN HOLLYWOOD!!
Three weeks ago Lara and her family flew out to Los Angeles to travel around different landmarks in America. We decided it'd be a cool idea if she were to record her entire journey for you guys to watch. Travel with Lara to places like the Grand Canyon, Las Vegas, Alcatraz Prison in San Fransisco and even watch her two day overnight investigation on The Queen Mary Ship, one of the most haunted locations in the United States.
Make sure to subscribe if you want to see more content like this as we've got more videos like this coming out soon. Keep an eye out this monday as we'll be posting the second vlog of Lara's American Tour. Also give a like if you prefer these videos to our other videos as we decided we needed a change from the usual Urbex theme.

Los Angeles | Hollywood Boulevard, CA 90069
Short overview of the attractions available on Hollywood Boulevard, which is home to the Hollywood Walk of Fame and the TCL Chinese Theatre among many other attractions.
Hollywood Walk of Fame comprises of more than 2600 five-pointed terrazzon and brass stars embedded in the sidewalks along 15 blocks of Hollywood Boulevard and three blocks of Vine Street in Hollywood. The stars are permanent public monuments to achievement in the entertainment industry bearing the names of actors, musicians, directors, producers, fictional characters and others. It is a popular tourist destination with a reported 10 million visitors each year.
Hollywood Boulevard is also home to Ripley's Believe or Not! Odditorium Which is a museum with kitschy oddities on display, including shruken human heads. Since 1992 they have carried on Robert Ripley's tradition of scouring the globe for the world's most unbelievable exhibits.
You can watch the Ripley's Video here:
Nearby the Guiness World Records Museum has displays for world records such as the largest work of art, lowest limbo and worlds tallest man to name a few. The museum includes alot of interactive exhibits where you can compare your weight against the worlds heaviest man, attempt the worlds long jump record and get the feel for speed in the adrenaline theatre.
The Hollywood Wax Museum is a wax museum featuring replicas of celebrities located on Hollywood Boulevard, where you can stand right next to the models for photographs with different themed exhibits from different eras of cinema. The wax museum is a more affordable alternative to Madam Tussauds.
At the time of our visit we were able to save 40% on the entry prices for Ripleys Odditorium, Guiness World Records and Hollywood Wax Museum with a Combo ticket which can be purchased from any of the above places. Keep a look out for this offer as you can save quite alot of money on the single admission prices for each attraction.
