Beautiful, historic and inspiring Oslo - Norway’s capital city lies at the tip of the stunning Oslofjord, surrounded by wooded hills. The combination of city attractions and spectacular countryside nearby makes the Oslo region a truly unique short break destination.
Visit Norway’s most famous museums and attractions: The Munch and Ibsen Museums, Vigeland Sculpture Park, Viking ships over a thousand years old, the Kon-Tiki Museum, the new Ekebergpark Sculpture Park and Ekeberg restaurant.
A real must-see is the spectacular new Opera House – a triumph of contemporary design. The National Museum of Art, Architecture and Design is also well worth a visit.
Oslo is a true shopper’s paradise with everything from charming boutique designer shops and impressive department stores to fascinating antique shops and buzzing flea-markets. The city and region is also a Foodie’s delight, with a great choice of excellent restaurants and food courts, many using locally sourced produce.
Why not explore the historic city of Drøbak, just 20 minutes from Oslo city centre, where you can see the stunning Oscarsborg Fortress. For a day of fun family activities, go for a mountain bike ride or swing from the treetops on a zip-line at Oslo Summer Park. If you really have a head for heights then a visit to Holmenkollen Ski Museum and Tower will literally take your breath away.
And the real beauty is that Oslo is only 2 hours away from the UK, flying direct with low cost fares from Norwegian.

There is a final place to stop before leaving Bergen. Norwegian composer and his house, Trollhausen. Grieg is a famous composer with Perugiet who wrote the playwright Henry Ibsen's work. As we enter the house along with the people, various photos and pictures of him draw attention. His arms and legs are his favorite pose. In addition to that, there are various objects that he used to exhibit, but the pictures of Nina, the wife of the piano, catch her eye. Would not the 'Trollhausen wedding' commemorating the 25th anniversary of the marriage be composed here? In the commentary's explanation, people nod to the elongation head. I think it is very good. It's a great place. It's very real. It is very interesting to hear about the story of this place. He said he liked to compose by looking at the lake. He wanted to see the lake even though he was dead. He was asleep with his wife Nina on the rock looking at the lake. The lake of Nordos, with its mind, is calm and beautiful. And a mini concert with the lake in the background. I feel like I received a big gift that I did not expect.
