57316 leads The Liverpool Pullman through a wet & windy Bamfurlong on Saturday 16th March 2019. 57601 had led the service from Hull earlier in the day and is now on the back for this return leg. The tour was running 20 minutes early by this point having avoided behing held at Lowton, it was instead held at Springs Branch until right time...
As you can see the conditions were far from ideal for filming, off camera they would deteriorate even more before Tornado passed a mere 2+ hours later... There was quite a bit of action at Bamfurlong today, 67005 had worked a tour to Carlisle where Tornado would take charge of the southbound leg. 86259 was on yet another Carlisle bound charter, there was a Class 57 out on a route learner and of course some freight... All will be available in good time ;)
Tornado is available here;
67005 on the northbound leg is available here;
The official working today was; 1Z49 Liverpool Lime St - Hull
