International centre for birds of prey.
We have visited ICBP a few times since moving to Gloucester 4 years ago.
The centre is well sign posted as you head through Newent. The roads as you get closer do become a little narrow.
There is plenty of parking, they also have a field for overflow parking, but we have never needed to use this.
There is no doubt you could spend a whole day here, Just make sure you pack your camera ????
Upon entering through the small shop you are welcomed with the Hawk Walk.
They have such a wide range of Birds of Prey.
Looking around the centre can take up a quite a bit of time but be careful not to miss the flying displays.
There are usually 3 a day and each one is completely different from the last. The staff are all very knowledgeable and they all have a sense of humour which is essential for working with animals.
We always try and catch all 3 displays as each are very different and you never know which birds are going to be flown.
You are not allowed dogs in the park but Jemimah owns 6 which are free to roam but they are all very friendly, they will visit you to see If you have food and then wander off again!
The grounds are beautiful, there is a large pond at the bottom of the field which you are free to walk around, as long as the displays are not on.
If you are keen on photography then this has to be on your list of places to visit. So many oppuntunities, and great practice for birds in flight!
Conservation is behind everything they do at the International Centre for Birds of Prey.
They work on projects all around the world helping to protect and save many of the most endangered species of birds of prey.
I would highly recommend a visit ????
