UK 'faith' school London Oratory found to discriminate on basis of race and social status
In 2014, the London Oratory School, a Catholic state-funded school in West London, was found to breach the statutory Admissions Code in a whopping 105 different ways through its ridiculously stringent religious admissions criteria. As part of its determination, the schools adjudicator noted that its admissions criteria amounted to selection on racial and socio-economic grounds.
In the above video, BHA Campaigns Manager Richy Thompson appears on the BBC London News to discuss this finding, and an appeal from the school, which says that having to rewrite its admissions policy would go against its religious ethos. Richy also makes a broader case against religious selection in schools.

Die Oratorianerkirche Unbeflecktes Herz Mariä (Church of the Immaculate Heart of Mary -- Brompton Oratory) ist eine römisch-katholische Kirche im Stadtteil Brompton des Londoner Bezirks Kensington and Chelsea. Die große und reich ausgestattete neobarocke Basilika wurde 1880 bis 1884 als Kirche der Londoner Oratorianergemeinschaft erbaut, die bis heute hier ihren Sitz hat.Die Londoner Niederlassung der Oratorianer entstand Mitte des 19. Jahrhunderts, nachdem John Henry Newman in Birmingham den ersten Konvent der Gemeinschaft des hl. Philipp Neri in England gegründet hatte. Ein Newman-Denkmal wurde 1896 an der Straßenfront des Konventsgebäudes errichtet. Die Kirche selbst wurde aus Spendenmitteln erbaut und ist bis heute die zweitgrößte katholische Kirche Londons nach Westminster Cathedral. An der Eröffnung durch Kardinal Manning im April 1884 nahmen 16 Bischöfe und 250 Priester teil.

Check out the southside entrance to the beautiful Hyde Park located in Kensington London - United Kingdom. Kensington is a district within the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea in west London. The north east is taken up by Kensington Gardens, once private as the name suggests, but today a public park which has Italian and Dutch gardens, public buildings such as the Albert Memorial, the Serpentine Gallery and Speke's monument.
Its commercial heart is Kensington High Street. This affluent and densely populated area contains the major museum district of South Kensington, which has the Royal Albert Hall for music and nearby Royal College of Music. The area is home to many of London's European embassies. Cementing Kensington's indicators of connections with France, the area has the Lycée Français Charles de Gaulle, French Consulate, French Embassy Cultural Department and the London Oratory on the borders with diminutive Knightsbridge.
