10 Edmund Kemper - The “Co-Ed Killer”
Edmund Kemper killed 10 people before surrendering to police in 1973. When Kemper was 15 he murdered his grandparents and was sent to a juvenile facility. When he was released at the age of 22 he carried on with his killings. In 1972-73, Kemper murdered his mom and one of her friends as well as 6 female college students. After the female college students were dead Kemper had sex with their bodies and mutilate them beyond recognition. Kemper is currently serving a life sentence in a California jail.
9 David Berkowitz - The Son of Sam killer
David Berkowitz was convicted of a series of shootings that began in New York City in the summer of 1976. Berkowitz murdered six victims by shooting them without provocation. As the body count rose, Berkowitz eluded a massive police manhunt and left behind letters mocking the police and boasting of more crimes he was planning to commit. Berkowitz was arrested by New York City police homicide detectives in August 1977, and was indicted for eight shooting incidents. He confessed claiming that he was obeying the orders of a demon that manifest in the form of a dog named Harvey who belonged to one of his neighbors named Sam. Berkowitz received a 365 year sentence for his actions.
8 Dennis Rader - The BTK Killer
Dennis Rader was charged with the murder of 10 people in Kansas, including four members of a neighboring family, between the years of 1971-94. BTK stood for blind, torture, and kill which was his infamous signature. In 2004, Rader began communicating with police, and would send them information which was eventually traced back to his residence. Rader was apprehended and charged with the murders and is currently serving ten consecutive life sentences in a Kansas jail.
7 HH Holmes
Following his capture, Dr. H.H. Holmes confessed to killing 27 people, although he was believed to have killed as many as 200. This all took place during the time period surrounding the 1893 World's Fair in Chicago. Holmes ran a hotel equipped with everything he needed to kill, torture and dispose of his victims. The hotel had gas lines that ran into the guests rooms, giant furnaces, as well as lime and acid pits. Holmes liked to torture, suffocate, and strangle his victims before disposing of their bodies within the facility. In 1894 Holmes was apprehended in Boston, and in 1896 he was hung in Philadelphia for his crimes.
6 Richard Ramirez - The Night Stalker
Richard Ramirez went on a killing spree around the Los Angeles area that claimed the lives of at least 13 and possibly as many as 16. During his killing spree Ramirez shot, mutilated, and raped his victims. After his mugshot was broadcast across Southern California, Richard Ramirez was caught in East LA when a mob accosted him while trying to steal a car. He was tried, and convicted, but he died at the age of 53 in San Quentin Prison while awaiting execution.
5 Gary Ridgway - The Green River Killer
Over the course of nearly 20 years, Gary Ridgway terrorized the areas surrounding the Green River in Washington's King County. Ridgway killed and disposed of at least 49 victims before he was captured in 2001, but in interviews after his capture Ridgway confessed to killing as many as 71 women. He is currently serving 480 years in a Washington prison without the possibility of parole.
4 Jeffrey Dahmer
Jeffrey Dahmer was responsible for killing 17 men in Milwaukee, WI between 1988 and 1991. Dahmer was caught when a victim escaped and alerted the authorities. Dahmer is perhaps best known for dismembering and consuming parts of his victims, many of which were found in his apartment at the time of his arrest. In 1994 Dahmer was beaten to death in prison.
3 John Wayne Gacy - The Killer Clown
John Wayne Gacy raped, tortured, and murdered at least 33 boys and men between 1972-78 in Chicago, IL. Police discovered 29 bodies hidden in the crawl space of his house and Gacy also admitted to having killed more men which he disposed of in the river. He was executed by lethal injection in 1994.
2 The Zodiac Killer
The Zodiac Killer terrorized Northern California in the late 1960’s and early 1970’s, and was responsible for at least five, and possibly as many as 37 murders. The Zodiac, whose identity to this day is still unknown, sent menacing and cryptic messages to local newspapers in and around San Francisco, and continued to send ciphered messages to the newspapers after the killings had stopped. Though many books and articles have named possible suspects, the case remains open and unsolved. The San Francisco Police Department marked the case inactive in April 2004, but in March of 2007 it was re-opened, and it remains open in the city of Vallejo, as well as in Napa County and Solano County. The California Department of Justice has maintained an open case file on the Zodiac murders since 1969.

Walker to close troubled Lincoln Hills juvenile prison, open five regional teenage prisons
Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker plans to close the troubled Lincoln Hills juvenile prison and open five regional teenage prisons.
The Lincoln Hills-Copper Lake prison complex, which houses about 160 girls and boys in two facilities in northern Wisconsin, will be converted into a medium security adult prisons.
Five regional juvenile facilities will open across the state, Walker said.

Jeffrey Lionel Dahmer (May 21, 1960 – November 28, 1994), also known as the Milwaukee Cannibal, was an American serial killer and sex offender, who committed the rape, murder, and dismemberment of seventeen men and boys between 1978 and 1991. Many of his later murders involved necrophilia, cannibalism, and the permanent preservation of body parts—typically all or part of the skeletal structure.
Although diagnosed with borderline personality disorder, schizotypal personality disorder,[4] and a psychotic disorder, Dahmer was found to be legally sane at his trial. Convicted of fifteen of the sixteen murders he had committed in Wisconsin, Dahmer was sentenced to fifteen terms of life imprisonment on February 15, 1992. He was later sentenced to a sixteenth term of life imprisonment for an additional homicide committed in Ohio in 1978.
On November 28, 1994, Dahmer was beaten to death by Christopher Scarver, a fellow inmate at the Columbia Correctional Institution. Thank you for helping me reach 50.000 subscribers. Acting sheriff gives tour of Milwaukee County Jail
After seven deaths in two years at the Milwaukee County Jail, changes are now complete.
Schmidt ordered a full jail assessment from the National Institute of Corrections as soon as he took office.
He said 15 of the 17 recommendations have already been completed.
They're still working on updating their written policies and completing an analysis of jail staffing.
