Vega Wine Cellar 605 5th Ave. N., Naples, FL
This was the wine cellar I designed for my home at 605 5th Ave. North in Naples. The display wall has individual racking for regular 750s, Champagne, magnums and larger formats. The sides of the island were sized to hold Turley Zinfandel The marble top is rain forest brown.
The bin will is made of continuous runs of meranti wood. Notice the length of the runs, and that they do not need to be broken by vertical supports like most cabinet maker's design. The bins die cleanly on both ends on exactly their points, and the lines of the bins continue through the chair rail.
The stone wall on the back wall is a weeping wall. If the humidity is too low, I can drizzle water along it and out the drain in the floor to raise the humidity. The valve hidden in the end bin controls the water flow.
The Watch for Black Chicken sign is from Biale.
