Breaking News! Norwegian Joy To Leaving China After Only 2 Years!
Norwegian Cruise Lines is yanking the Norwegian Joy cruise liner out of China and will spend $50 million to refurbish her. The 2 year old $1 Billion cruise ship will be moved to Seattle next April and sail to Alaska for the summer season. In the fall and winter of 2019/2020 she will sail the Mexican Riviera and will complete a number of Panama Cruises. This move is a major blow to Norwegian as the Norwegian Joy was to be the centerpiece of Norwegian's stratagy to dominate the China cruise market. Other cruise lines have abandoned China in recent months including Royal Caribbean.
