Regency Bridge • San Saba Texas Trip 03-19-2017
The Regency Bridge is a one-lane suspension bridge over the Colorado River it was built in 1939. The bridge closed late 2014 after some teenagers accidentally burned some wooden planks on the bridge. Governor Bush re-dedication the bridge after it was restored in 1997. The bridge span 325 ft with a wood surface.
Regency Bridge became the last suspension bridge in Texas open to automobile traffic in 2005.
The weight limit of the bridge is 5000 lb (2300 kg).
The Regency Bridge is one of the coolest bridges in Texas I have ever seen. This should be on every Texans bucket list to visit.

Beveridge Bridge • San Saba Texas Trip
One mile North of the wedding Oak Tree's in San Saba Texas we stopped at this really cool suspension bridge that spans the San Saba river. John H. Beveridge established the first crossing of the San Saba River at this location for the transportation of local crops to market. Texas bridge builder Flinn-Moyer of Weatherford assembled this 140-foot bridge in 1891. It has survived three majors floods and has been rebuilt three times. it was closed to vehicle traffic in 2004 and a new concrete bridge was built beside it.
