Samara Region Alabin Museum of History and Local Lore is one of the oldest in the Volga region. The Museum, that now occupies 4 buildings, has already become one of the main cultural centers in Samara. It is used not only for the most interesting exhibitions of different areas of focus, but also it is the place where conferences, festivals, holidays and mass events are held. Today the museums collection is represented by 200 thousand of exhibits, including items from ancient cloths to rare stuffed animals. This collection involves visitors into interesting world of history, from Samara foundation till the events of 1918. The museum is also famous for its vast archeological and mineral collections. The most precious paleontological section has been recently introduced. Museum’s numismatic and arms collections with items from different countries are in the public eye.

The Mykolayiv Regional Museum of Local Lore. It took a hundred years between its establishment and opening it as a museum. The first findings included in the exhibits were made by sailors back in 1792. The first and genuine Mykolayiv Museum of Local Lore was opened by a lawyer and amateur archaeologist in 1913. It changed its addresses several times and today it is one of the first museums of ancient history in Ukraine. Its objects are the result of exhausting and tremendous archaeological work and a true stroke of luck and success. Yet, sometimes the smile of “lady luck” is more reminiscent of a grin. It is a case of discovery in the village Kuriachi Lozy in the Mykolayiv oblast.

Stuffed birds and archaeological finds. Firearms and embroidered shirts. Unique documents and interiors of a Swiss workshop. Such various artifacts found shelter on two and a half thousand square meters of the Old Naval Barracks complex, which is part of the Mykolayiv Regional Museum of Local Lore. Each of them has its own fascinating history and priceless scientific value. Some of them are considered to be of an international level. For example, a treasure trove of bronze items found in the earthen mound of Dykiy Sad (Wild Garden) is exhibited in this museum.

The museum's history dates all the way back to 1954 when the Mission San Jose Fire District constructed the building, which originally served as a fire station until the early 1990s. When the Fire Station was rehomed to a new building, the Mission Peak Heritage Foundation and Washington Township Historical Society leased it and transformed the space into a museum.

Tyumen
Tyumen is the largest city and the administrative center of Tyumen Oblast, Russia, located on the Tura River 2,500 kilometers east of Moscow.
Tyumen was the first Russian settlement in Siberia. Founded in 1586 to support Russia's eastward expansion, the city has remained one of the most important industrial and economic centers east of the Ural Mountains. Located at the junction of several important trade routes and with easy access to navigable waterways, Tyumen rapidly developed from a small military settlement to a large commercial and industrial city. The central part of Old Tyumen retains many historic buildings from throughout the city's history.
