Tea Brunch in the Smallest House Amsterdam
New Amsterdam Travel Video- We discovered another true secret in the Red Light District. At Oude Hoogstraat 22, you'll find the smallest house in Amsterdam. But more surprises await inside. Niels, the owner, transformed the downstairs part of the house into a quaint, cozy tea shop. But the biggest surprise is that there is a small tearoom upstairs where Niels and his wife serve high tea and tea brunch. Gessell and Anne from Anne Travel Foodie blog sit down for tea, scones with clotted cream and lemon curd, lux sandwiches and homemade Dutch apple pie, butter cakes and brownies. Girls doing brunch in the Red Light District...perfect!

Het kleinste huis van Amsterdam staat in de Oude Hoogstraat(nr 22) vlak naast het Oost Indisch Huis en het toegangspoortje naar de Waalse Kerk. Het misschien wel kleinste huis van Europa is 2.02 meter breed en 5 meter diep. Het is een rijksmonument en stamt uit de 18e eeuw.

In this daily vlog, we continue our visit to Amsterdam; it's a pity that the travel is finishing today as we are really enjoying it. Time to visit some of the nicest parts of the city and then time to go back to the airport and back to El Prat in Barcelona.

At the Lange Voorhout at the centre of The Hague, you will find renaissance style buildings from the 18th century originally homes of the gentry and well to do merchants. Today the houses are mainly offices and embassies. The Escher Museum was formally the winter palace of Queen Emma and later the working palace of Queen Wilhelmina, Juliana and Beatrix. Between the grand houses, you will find the smallest house in The Hague which is 1.8mtr/6 feed wide. The Famous Hotel Des Indes is located on the Lange Voorhout where Montgomery, Eisenhower, Churchill and the Rolling Stones have stayed. The Lange Voorhout leads to the Denneweg with its art galleries, restaurants and cafes.

Amsterdam is breathtaking from the canals that's why my cousin and I rented a canal boat so we could have our own private tour. We rented the canal boat from canalmotorboats.com conveniently located west of Amsterdam Central Station and rents for 40 euros per hour but make sure to reserve a few days ahead.
Amsterdam has 2 major nightlife districts called Rembrandtplein and Leidseplein these squares are loaded with bars and night clubs. Depending on where you start, I recommend you get a delicious negroni from NJOY cocktail bar but beware, they have a strict door policy so do not show up too trashed or under dressed.
At Rembrantplein you'll find many great spots like Escape night club, Jantjesverjaardag (a popular student bar), techno club Air Amsterdam, and my favorite Club NYX for their bizarre toilet bar on the top floor where you literally can take a piss behind the DJ in a urinal on the dance floor.
If you're not into night clubs than Amsterdam has a magnitude of bars and cafes, it is what Amsterdam is best known for. Dig deep into local Dutch cafe culture in the Jordaan district at cozy places Cafe Thijsen, Gevulde Gaper, Staalmeesters and De Zotte.
For party bars and dive bars check out No. 129, Cafe Kooper, Kopstootbar and end your night either at the Water Hole for rock music and live bands or club hard at the massive Paradiso dance floor or consider Chicago Social club for a more laid back hipster kind of vibe.
In conclusion, the Amsterdam nightlife is one of world's best. The fact that bars and clubs are open late, no last call, great selection of music & venues plus a chill laid back local crowd that makes Amsterdam the absolute party capital of Europe, without a doubt. Tiny Studio Apartment - Sleeping Loft and Moving Staircase (Zoku)

A month ago we visited this cool tiny studio apartment in Amsterdam. This space is called Zoku, and it is a huge building with more than 100 small apartments for tiny living, and this is what they look like.
They are designed for online nomads, and people who travel frequently, to have a micro apartment space to dwell inside the city center of Amsterdam. It's connected to a shared office space / co-working space in the heart of Amsterdam, to make it easy to network and work during the stay. These tiny apartments can be rented short or long-term, making them the perfect substitute to hotel rooms.
The architects and idea people behind this concept really thought this design through. The whole idea of the sliding staircase that leads up to the loft space is just genius.
You find everything you need from a tiny bathroom / toilet, kitchen, dining area and a sleeping loft, you can access from the sliding staircase. The loft part of the apartment doesn't seem like it's there when the blinds are closed. ✓ We think that this shop is probably one of the smallest Mini Dutch Pancake stall in the world, it is absolutely tiny; but everything required is in place to produce some of the most delicious Netherland style pancakes anywhere.
Guinness World Records hasn't verified or confirmed this............but do you think you can find smaller???
The shop is called ?????????? and is located in Inverness Street Market in the heart of the world famous Camden Market.
There are numerous toppings offered such as:
* Icing Sugar.
* Cinnamon Powder.
* Whipped Cream.
* Nutella Chocolate Sauce.
* Maple Syrup.
* Condensed Milk.
* Banana.
* Strawberry.
* Blueberries.
* Can you believe they even do a gold plated version using edible gold leaf.
