No dia 06 de Outubro de 2018 foi realizado a primeira competição de Surf Junior na praia do Tofo, Inhambane, Moçambique.
O evento contou com mais de 20 participantes dos 8 aos 20 anos de idade, os participantes são da comunidade local, onde, tiveram certificados de participação e os três vencedores tiveram trofeus e brindes da empresa The Surf Shack Tofo.
Contou com o patrocínio das empresas, Hotel Tofo Mar, The Surf Shack Tofo, Surfers Not Street Children e Diversity Scuba.

SURFING TONQUIN BEACH TOFINO
Surfing in Tofino can be very rewarding for those who dare to put on a wetsuit, with a hood and gloves and booties. It is a lot of neoprene, and a lot of people find that too unpleasant to even bother, but just like in most places, the waves can get pretty epic. There aren’t many places in the world like it. You can be out sitting in the lineup and have seals, porpoises, or a number of different types of whales come and pay you a friendly visit. The water is some of the cleanest in the world, and is a remarkable emerald green. It is simply magical, and should definitely be on every surfers list of places to go on a surf trip. On this particular day, the waves were pretty fat. It was a long period swell, and you could wait up to 20 minutes between sets. But when they came, they were well worth it.
