The Tech Museum of Innovation - San Jose, California - Amazing Museum
The Tech Museum of Innovation, or simply The Tech, is a museum located in the heart of Silicon Valley, in downtown San Jose, California, United States.
The Tech Museum reflects its social context, capturing Silicon Valley's celebration of technology with a fascination with what the museum’s literature refers to as the “gizmos and gadgets” produced by Valley companies. Early reviews, however, criticized The Tech for failing to provide a coherent direction or message.
The museum is composed of three floors, each with its own significance. The ground floor has the main entrance, a gift shop and cafe, the Imax theater, and a recreational area that is reserved for special events. The Tech Museum's architecture is the work of Mexican architect Ricardo Legorreta.[4]
Four major theme galleries fill the upper level and lower level of the museum: Communication, Exploration, Innovation and Life Tech. These galleries are constantly being revamped and changed to fit the theme movies and exhibits. On the lower level there is also a public piece of artwork titled Origin, which is inside a 45-foot-tall (14 m) cylinder.

San Jose (officially the City of San José) is an economic, cultural and political center of Silicon Valley, and the largest city in Northern California (both in population and area). With an estimated 2017 population of 1,035,317, it is the third-most populous city in California (after Los Angeles and San Diego) and the tenth-most populous in United States. Located in the center of the Santa Clara Valley, on the southern shore of San Francisco Bay, San Jose covers an area of 179.97 square miles (466.1 km2).
San Jose is the most populous city in both the San Francisco Bay Area and the San Jose-San Francisco-Oakland Combined Statistical Area, which contain 7.7 million and 8.7 million people respectively.
It is a global city, notable as a center of innovation, for its affluence, Mediterranean climate, and extremely high cost of living. San Jose's location within the booming high tech industry, as a cultural, political, and economic center has earned the city the nickname Capital of Silicon Valley. San Jose is one of the wealthiest major cities in the United States and the world, and has the third highest GDP per capita in the world.

WELCOME TO SILICON VALLEY 2012.m4v
Welcome to Silicon Valley: Running time: 2 minutes 26 seconds.
Eddie Gale's High Tech Jazz from influences of Master Sun Ra's teachings Space is the Place.
The background tune in this video clip, Welcome to Silicon Valley (Mark Edward Publishing Company, ASCAP) features a delightful performance by Eddie Gale (San José's Ambassador of Jazz since 1974) and David Hayden. It is message song welcoming all to Silicon Valley, California with visuals giving its viewers a quick tour of Silicon Valley including Downtown San José, City of San José's City Hall, San José State University's Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Library and the San José State University International House peace flags, Yahoo, IBM, etc.
Gale continues his work to enlighten the world about this great music called Jazz as he celebrates Jazz, America's Original Musical Art form—A True Expression of Democracy.
In this informative video Gale announces a milestone event, International Day of Jazz, Monday, April 30, 2012. In celebration of this first annual event he will perform at Café Pomegranate, 221 East San Fernando Street San Jose, CA 95112 call Affie at (408) 271-8822 for more information. Critically acclaimed trumpeter Eddie Gale has received recognition for over 25 years of supporting our youth through his brand of music and performing arts. Gale often says, The success of our future depends on us all being informed. In this section we share with you information about UNESCO's International Day of Jazz. Let's all celebrate!
April 30, 2012 is the first Annual International Day of Jazz as proclaimed by UNESCO (United National Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization). Jazz has bridged races, genders, borders, and generations. What better reflection of UNESCO's timeless message of peace than JAZZ? (News for Washington Electronic Journals)
United States Ambassador to UNESCO, David T. Killion described Jazz as an International treasure that has fused musical traditions, healed wounds and shone as a soundtrack for social justice and democracy.
By Celebrating Jazz as a UNESCO International Day, we hope to pay tribute to those who dedicate their lives to Intercultural dialogue and promoting peace.
Activists like Vaclav Havel and Nelson Mandela have cited the hope and sense of freedom they have felt when listening to Jazz music, even when things seemed bleak.
Let's all celebrate April, Jazz Appreciation Month and April 30, 2012 First International Day of Jazz by supporting jazz performances and the musicians who play the music. Thank you.

A Different Perspective San Francisco
Bay Bridge perspective.
The bridge has two sections of roughly equal length; the older western section, officially known as the Willie L. Brown Jr. Bridge (after former San Francisco Mayor and California State Assembly Speaker Willie L. Brown Jr.), connects downtown San Francisco to Yerba Buena Island, and the newer unnamed eastern section connects the island to Oakland. The western section is a double suspension bridge with two decks, westbound traffic being carried on the upper deck while eastbound is carried on the lower one. The largest span of the original eastern section was a cantilever bridge. During the 1989 Loma Prieta earthquake, a portion of the eastern section's upper deck collapsed onto the lower deck and the bridge was closed for a month. Reconstruction of the eastern section of the bridge as a causeway connected to a self-anchored suspension bridge began in 2002; the new eastern section opened September 2, 2013, at a reported cost of over $6.5 billion, a 2,500% cost overrun from the original estimate of $250 million.[9][10] Unlike the western section and the original eastern section of the bridge, the new eastern section is a single deck with the eastbound and westbound lanes on each side making it the world's widest bridge, according to Guinness World Records.
Places to see in ( San Jose - USA )
Places to see in ( San Jose - USA )
San Jose is a large city surrounded by rolling hills in Silicon Valley, a major technology hub in California's Bay Area. Architectural landmarks, from the 1883 Italianate-style Oddfellows building to Spanish Colonial Revival structures, make up the downtown historic district. The downtown area is also home to the Tech Museum of Innovation, devoted to the exploration of science and technology.
El Pueblo de San José de Guadalupe (literally, The Town of Saint Joseph of Guadalupe) was founded by José Joaquín Moraga in 1777 near the present day intersection of Guadalupe Parkway and West Taylor Street. In 1797, the pueblo was moved to the Plaza Pueblo (now Plaza de César Chávez), around which San Jose grew. And the rest is, as they say, history. True to its location in the heart of Silicon Valley, San Jose is now home to the headquarters of many tech companies such as Cisco Systems, eBay, and Adobe Systems.
There are many different neighborhoods in the geographic area of San Jose that, depending on where you are, you might not know if you're still in the same city. Like most Bay Area cities, San Jose is an expensive place to live -one of the city's few negatives. Some of the hip areas to live these days are in San Jose's downtown area, for those who prefer urban living, or Santana Row for a mixed living, shopping and dining community. You can find vintage California charm in the neighborhoods of Willow Glen and Rose Garden. The woodsy area of Almaden Valley is known for its excellent schools, and Silver Creek is known for its subdivisions of sprawling McMansions. Evergreen is in East San Jose, right at the foothills of the city. Evergreen has some more affordable housing and is very residential. Since it is at the foothills, east San Jose is not as accessible as the other neighborhoods. Evergreen has excellent views of the foothills and many parks and recreational areas. Groesbeck Hill Park is located right in the heart of Evergreen and offers a mile long loop, basketball courts, baseball fields, playgrounds, and hiking trails.
San Jose is also a very diverse city with a high foreign born population, mainly due to the location in the Silicon Valley. The Vietnamese community in San Jose is one of the largest foreign born communities. In fact, San Jose has the highest number of Vietnamese immigrants of any city outside Vietnam. Other significant foreign born communities include Indians, Chinese, Filipino, and Latin American.
