Since I came to India I wanted to do this safari and yes I did not get disapointed. This ride was soo cool!! Riding camels into the desert, spend the nights in the dunes watching the most beautiful stars, eating from the fire and walking up to a gorgeous sunrise was part of this amazing experience.

This is a video showcasing the camel safari I took across the Thar Desert located near Jaisalmer, Rajasthan, India. The 4 day safari was an amazing experience and my camel guide and his nephew were wonderful hosts. They took me to Gypsy villages, secluded sections of the desert and other areas which I would have never seen on a typical tour. It was great to experience the more rural and traditional lifestyle that many Indian people still live. I'd highly recommend this to anyone: :

3 Days 2 Nights Experience the Indian Desert - JAISALMER
In this video we share with you guys our safari desert tour into the Thar desert in India, near the border with Pakistan. We were greeted by Ali and Kato (our tour guides) and their friends and family in their village, they offered us chai as we were waiting for our camels to be ready.
We spent 3 days and 2 nights in Khuri desert and it couldn't have been a better experience just the 4 of us, the camels and the nature surrounding us. We had to opportunity to visit a few remote villages and to see a few wild animals (gazelles, lizzards, eagles and many different types of birds) hence the name safari desert tour.

When you visit Jaisalmer, there are two attractions you might want to try. Taking a camel safari and visiting Jaisalmer's Thar Desert. Some friends and I decided to take a safari tour with the Camel Man, a local legend in Jaisalmer. We booked a tour through our guesthouse Shahi Hotel and a truck came to pick us up and skirted us to the Jaisalmer desert. There, we met the Camel Man and his family and proceeded to mount our camels. It was a nice safari. Here's some insight into how to ride a camel and what to expect if you take a Sunset Camel Safari with the Camel Man at Thar Desert in Jaisalmer, India.

I spent about 10-12 days in desert and it was a great experience. The desert changes its colour, smell etc. from morning to day to evening to night.The best things to experience in the desert are sunrise and sunset in the sand dunes. JAISALMER | Spending A Night In The Indian Thar Desert | What An Adventure!
So after arriving in the scenic desert town of Jaisalmer we quickly found out that one of the best things to do was to visit the Thar Desert and spend a night under the stars! Thankfully our hostel was running tours to the desert so for $16 we decided to sign up and set off the next day.
After riding into the desert on camels we were amazed to see the place we were staying for the night! One of the best experiences of my life and something we will remember for many years to come! If you ever get the chance to experience the Thar desert I would 100% recommend!
