Fed up with the toxic current political climate and seeing a void in viable candidates in Tennessee willing to move forward in the vein of Bernie Sanders, humble East Nashville based comedian / dog-walker / single father Chad Riden decided to run for Governor of Tennessee in 2018.
Chad attended McMinn County High School in Athens, Tennessee Hiwassee College in Madisonville, and the University of Tennessee in Knoxville where he earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Broadcasting / Mass Communications. He has worked in local tv and radio and internet development since 1995, and began writing and performing stand-up comedy when he moved to Nashville in the summer of 2000.
Riden has worked full-time as a traveling stand-up comedian since 2007 and spends the rest of his time running Nashville StandUp - a non-profit dedicated to promoting and producing live comedy events, such as the #BrokenRecordShow which breaks it’s own world record for longest standup comedy show, multiple comedians annually by 5 minutes as part of the Nashville Comedy Festival in April at Third Coast Comedy Club.
Chad Riden has appeared on “The Daily Show” on Comedy Central, the Late Show with David Letterman’s “Tony Mendez Show”, ABC’s “Nashville,” and may or may not be featured on an episode of CMT-Canada’s “Mississippi Snake Grabbers” (no idea it it’s aired, honestly).
Chad Riden currently lives in East Nashville with a flying squirrel, a duck, a turtle and his 14-year-old daughter who approves of none of this.
Riden’s views are his own and do not reflect the views of any of the three non-profits he volunteers at: Walden’s Puddle wildlife rehab facility, WXNA-FM & Nash

:: PRO ::
– High speed state wide fiber optic internet as a public utility w/ Chattanooga model
– Medicare For All – healthcare is a right, not a privilege
– Unionized labor
– Public Schools
– Construction of high speed rail connecting Memphis, Nashville, Knoxville, Bristol & Chattanooga
– Sustainable housing for the Homeless, possibly using the Earthship Biotecture method w/ recycled materials
– LGBT+ anti-discrimination laws and protection
– Legalization of Marijuana
– 7 days a week alcohol sales
:: ANTI ::
– Money in Politics & career politicians in general
– Outsourcing State tasks to for-profit businesses: Charter Schools, Privatized Prisons, etc. If someone else can turn a profit doing it, Tennessee can do it cheaper in-house.
– discrimination, hate, fear, ignorance, Trump.

Listening is a more natural way of learning, when compared to reading. Written language only began at around 3200 BC, but spoken language has existed long ago.
Learning by listening is a great way to:
- increases imagination and understanding
- improves your listening skills
- improves your own spoken accent
- learn while on the move
- reduce eye strain
Now learn the vast amount of general knowledge available on Wikipedia through audio (audio article). You could even learn subconsciously by playing the audio while you are sleeping! If you are planning to listen a lot, you could try using a bone conduction headphone, or a standard speaker instead of an earphone.

SUMMARY
=======
Nashville is the capital and most populous city of the U.S. state of Tennessee. The city is the county seat of Davidson County and is located on the Cumberland River. The city's population ranks 24th in the U.S. According to 2017 estimates from the U.S. Census Bureau, the total consolidated city-county population stood at 691,243. The balance population, which excludes semi-independent municipalities within Davidson County, was 667,560 in 2017.Located in northern Middle Tennessee, Nashville is the major city of the largest metropolitan area in Tennessee. The 2017 population of the entire 14-county Nashville metropolitan area was 1,903,045. The 2017 population of the Nashville–Davidson–Murfreesboro–Columbia combined statistical area, a larger trade area, was 2,027,489.Named for Francis Nash, a general of the Continental Army during the American Revolutionary War, the city was founded in 1779. The city grew quickly due to its strategic location as a port on the Cumberland River and, in the 19th century, a railroad center. Nashville seceded with Tennessee during the American Civil War; in 1862 it was the first state capital in the Confederacy to fall to Union troops. After the war, the city reclaimed its position and developed a manufacturing base.
Since 1963, Nashville has had a consolidated city-county government, which includes six smaller municipalities in a two-tier system. The city is governed by a mayor, a vice-mayor, and a 40-member metropolitan council; 35 of the members are elected from single-member districts, while the other five are elected at-large. Reflecting the city's position in state government, Nashville is home to the Tennessee Supreme Court's courthouse for Middle Tennessee, one of the three divisions.
Nashville is a center for the music, healthcare, publishing, private prison, banking, and transportation industries. It is home to numerous colleges and universities, such as Tennessee State University, Vanderbilt University, Belmont University, Fisk University, and Lipscomb University. Entities with headquarters in the city include Asurion, Bridgestone Americas, Captain D's, CoreCivic, Dollar General, Hospital Corporation of America, LifeWay Christian Resources, Logan's Roadhouse, and Ryman Hospitality Properties.

HOLY LAND UNCOVERED | The Beth Israel community is made of up African Americans who came to Israel in the 1970s. They believe they are descendants of the lost tribes of Israel which fled back in the sixth century before the common era from Babylon after the deconstruction of the first temple. This community believes a site near the Dead Sea tells us where the biblical Jerusalem once stood, and they are fighting for this site to be recognized by the government. Our Shelby Weiner has the story.

Did Jim Jones Send A Message To 50 Cent?
#50Cent and #JimJones have been at each other's throats for quite a while now, but it heated up again after 6ix9ine name dropped Jones during his testimony. During an interview with The #BreakfastClub, Jim Jones was asked whether the beef was real or just them joking around. Jones responded saying where I am from, I do know people that we call real n***as or stand up men, we don’t try to tarnish people’s names by doing bullshit antics -- It’s consequences and repercussions for certain things like that.
