FIRST TIME IN ATHENS - WHAT TO DO | GREECE

Today was my first time to visit Athens in Greece! I was amazed on how beautiful this city is!

If you don't know what to do in Athens this video will show you the best things to do in Athens and what to do in Athens on your first day!
There are many things to do in Athens and today I went to visit a few things to do in Athens. The main places I visited were the City center and one of the best things to do in athens travel guide is the Acropolis of Athens.
As there are many places to visit in Athens and I only had 1 day it was impossible for me to see all the places to visit in Athens so I went to visit the most important places in Athens.
Doing the acropolis athens tour is advisable as you get to know a lot about the history of athens travel guide and the acropolis.

Athens is the capital of Greece. It was also at the heart of Ancient Greece, a powerful civilization and empire. The city is still dominated by 5th-century BC landmarks, including the Acropolis, a hilltop citadel topped with ancient buildings like the colonnaded Parthenon temple. The Acropolis Museum, along with the National Archaeological Museum, preserves sculptures, vases, jewelry and more from Ancient Greece.

The Acropolis of Athens is an ancient citadel located on a rocky outcrop above the city of Athens and contains the remains of several ancient buildings of great architectural and historic significance, the most famous being the Parthenon. The word acropolis is from the Greek words ἄκρον (akron, highest point, extremity) and πόλις (polis, city). Although the term acropolis is generic and there are many other acropoleis in Greece, the significance of the Acropolis of Athens is such that it is commonly known as The Acropolis without qualification. During ancient times it was known also more properly as Cecropia, after the legendary serpent-man, Cecrops, the supposed first Athenian king.

My Home - Glyfada, Greece 2019 | Music Video

Ok so, even though I now live in the UK, I still visit my lovely hometown of Glyfada on the South Coast of Athens every now and again. My last visit I had the pleasure to show my other half and her family, some of the beauties of this place, and so I thought to myself, why stop there and not show the world. Off course this video is merely a small glimpse, there is a lot more out there. This is my way of saying thank you to everybody I grew up with and everybody who contributed to these timeless memories I have gained living here over the past two decades. Thank you, Ευχαριστό! None the less, I hope you all enjoy my little tribute to my hometown. Peace out!

My New Favorite City! Athens

On my last day in Athens, I really fell in love with the city, and it became one of my favorite places of all time. I started the day wandering aimlessly into an adorable coffee shop and through the breezy shopping districts, and then stumbled upon Hadrian's Arch, which led me to accidentally find the epic and beautiful Temple of Zeus. From there, yet another awesome accidental turn (or, stairway, rather) led me up to the most magical cluster of twisting mazes and whitewashed houses. And to end my time in this gorgeous city, I went to a hilltop by the Acropolis to watch the sunset.
I will miss Athens so much - and I will certainly be back!

It's Day 1 of my Athens Food Tour and I'm at Athens Central Market in Athens Greece for the ultimate taste of Athens! Athens Central Market (Varvakeios) is the place to eat in Athens and in this Athens Greece vlog, I'm going to show you the MUST visit places at Athens Central Market, starting at Mokka cafe for some Turkish Coffee. From there, I'll take you on a tour of the market. I'll then show you where to find the best meat, cheese and wine experience at Zarkadian. For lunch, it's a stop at Maria's inside Athens Central Market for the most incredible lamb and potatoes, the national dish of Greece. Today was an amazing day of traveling in Athens, Greece. We ate some incredibly delicious Greek food and saw some of the most famous attractions, including the Acropolis (Parthenon) in Athens.

Here’s what you’ll find in this video:

Diporto Restaurant - This is an amazing hidden gem of a restaurant serving traditional Greek food in a downstairs basement tavern. They only have a few dishes per day, and you order whatever they have - everything is delicious.
Total price - 25 EUR for everything

Souvlaki Lefteris o Politis - This is another famous souvlaki, Greek street food, hole in the wall that I was excited to try because they are known for their spicy souvlaki. It was awesomely delicious and something you shouldn't miss if you love Greek food.
Price - 1.90 EUR per piece

Plaka Neighborhood - In the afternoon, I walked around the Plaka Neighborhood for a while and also saw the National Garden.

Panathenaic Stadium - In order to fulfill my inner Olympian, I entered into the Panathenaic Stadium, walked around this amazing marble stadium, and took a victory lap. It was awesome, it’s a must see when you’re in Athens.
Entrance price - 5 EUR

Dio Dekares i Oka Restaurant - We had an early Greek food dinner at Dio Dekares i Oka Restaurant that serves home-style Greek food. The lamb with dill and celery was the highlight dish for me.
Total price - 33 EUR for everything

Acropolis of Athens - There’s no doubt that the Acropolis of Athens, which includes the Parthenon is the most famous attraction to see in Athens. It was at the center of Athens and the center of Western civilization at its peak. It’s an amazing sight to see, even though it’s high damaged. But it’s truly breathtaking to admire the columns.
Combined attractions ticket - 30 EUR
