Amsterdam, Koninginnedag, Boat Parade - Netherlands HD Travel Channel
Especially young people use Koninginnedag in Amsterdam for a boat parade. The Prinsengracht serves as a promenade for small to medium sized boats that are partially decorated, especially in the color orange.
Equipped with powerful audio systems and sometimes with fog machines, the mood is fueled. The people spread good mood; party and fun are hip. Although, alcohol is abundant on the boats, no one is drunk. See and be seen is the motto.

Exploring Amsterdam by pedal boat || Amsterdam Travel Diary
The weather on our second day in Amsterdam was pretty nice. It first was a little bit cloudy, but the sun came out around noon and we decided rent a pedal boat to discover Amsterdam from a different angle. And it might look easy to handle the pedal boat, but believe me it's not! haha
After boating for two hours, we went back ashore, walked a little bit, had lunch at a burger place, took some outfit pictures and I also visited one of my favourite vintage stores in Amsterdam - it's a Levi's shorts heaven!

The face of Amsterdam in September (3 days)
What we loved:
• NDSM-werf and the cool Pllek, in Amsterdam Noord, for what the Lonely Planet defines as a ‘post-apocalyptic vibe’
• Negen Straatjes (Nine Streets), with their cafés and restaurants and people...
What we liked (almost everything):
• Long walks along the canals, and the following rewards…
• Great dutch pancakes at The Pancake Bakery, in Jordaan
• Croquettes and raw meat (wow!) at Eetsalon Van Dobben (since 1945), in Amsterdam Centrum
• Apple cake with whipped cream at Winkel 43, in Amsterdam Centrum
• Dutch fries at the steampunk themed Dr. Pieper (might be permanently closed now though, please check!), in Amsterdam Oost
• A good and fresh beer at Bierfabriek Amsterdam, in Amsterdam Centrum
• Another good beer at De Gooyer, a windmill in the centre of Amsterdam (Eastern Docklands)
• The very informal and informative tour of the canals with Those Dam Boat Guys!
There was no time to visit museums, but we’ll definitely go back…We want to try many more restaurants and cafés!! They all look amazing, hopefully the food will taste the same????
See you for our next trip!!
