My favorite get-away: Twin Falls and Hagerman Idaho
The music for this video was licensed through envato.
I shot this video over memorial day weekend while visiting my grandma. It's dedicated to my granddad who passed away in 2012. He loved this beautiful country. He served in the Air Force for many years and retired in Hagerman Idaho.
Granddad would take me and my family to all of these beautiful places. This is something to help me and my family remember him by. We miss him a ton and I wish he could see this. My love of video comes from him. He also shot video and loved photography, I have some 16mm film he shot years ago. It's sitting on my shelf right now.
The girl in this video is my daughter Paige. She also loves video and has her own YouTube channel. I linked it at the end of this video.

Coal to Survive A King Hill Story
Sunday, April 6, 2014 we toured the Thousand Springs Scenic Byway, but we took a detour. Heading toward Bliss, ID on I-84, we took the King Hill exit to explore a story about the miserable survival tactic used by settlers in the area in the 1880's. King Hill is located in Magic Valley, near Glenns Ferry, ID
To read the journal about King Hill go here:
Southern Idaho’s Malad River, and Malad Gorge
Southern Idaho’s Malad River, a tributary to the Snake River, flows under I-84 without attracting much Park Sign attention. Other than the unusual name Malad and the telltale term gorge, sightseers may pass by this state park. Here, just a short distance from the interstate, Malad Gorge State Park surrounds the Malad River Canyon and Devils Washbowl. From the first signs of the park, and all the way up to the edge of the canyon rim, this huge slice in the earth’s crust remains out of sight. If you were to conduct your sightseeing from the parking lot, you’d certainly miss this impressive the canyon. After marveling at the canyon in this unit of the Thousand Springs State Park, a 60 foot thundering cascade, nicknamed the Devils Washbowl, attracts more of the park visitor's attention.
The day use park offers a narrow steel Devils Washbowl - Malad Gorge State Park, Hagerman, Idaho walkway across the gorge for some breathtaking canyon views. To the north of the bridge, the river rips through the Devils Washbowl. Over time, the narrow chasm has crept northward, exhibiting the tremendous forces of the Malad River.
Here in the canyon, birders may be able to spot resident kestrels, red-tailed hawks, golden eagles and rock pigeons. Other wildlife critters that call the park home include mule deer, jackrabbits, coyotes, and the yellow-tailed marmot. Although the beavers are gone from the riverbanks today, some believe the name Malad, a French word meaning sick, originated when 19th century trappers became ill after eating the buck-toothed creatures.
The park is found near the south-central town of Hagerman, and during the off-peak season you may have the park to yourself.
Idaho William Adventure to Balanced Rock in Idaho
Idaho William takes you on a journey for a rock, but not just any rock.. Balanced rock. A 48 foot tall, 40 ton wind carved rock that sits on a base about 3 ft . We made a pit stop in Bliss to check out the scenic byway maps. After the hike, we stopped at the Balance Rock park along the Salmon Falls Creek. **I do not own rights to the music, name of song, name of artist, and this music not intended to infringe copyright laws. The song is by R. Carlos Nakai and is called Rocks and Rills.*
