The Three Valley Gap is a piece of historical property situated on the outskirts of Revelstoke Canada along the popular Trans Canada Trail. From the road, you see a red roof hotel and a magnificent mountain backdrop. But when you get within those walls... things change.

Three Valley Lake Chateau
Overlooking Three Valley Lake and off the Trans-Canada Highway, this seasonal chateau resort is 19.8 km from Mount Revelstoke National Park.
Three Valley Gap is an unincorporated settlement on the Trans-Canada Highway adjacent to the lake of the same name. It is located 27 km southwest of Revelstoke, just west of the summit of Eagle Pass. The three valleys of the name include the eastern and western egresses from the pass and a southward opening into the upper reaches of Wap Creek, which is a northern tributary of the Shuswap River.

Après notre visite au Mont Revelstoke, nous avions plus de 232 km à parcourir pour nous rendre au Mont Boucherie à Kelowna.
Peu de temps après notre départ, un bâtiment fort joli a attiré notre attention sur l'Autoroute 1, à proximité du lac Three Valley. En fait, il s'agit d'un centre de villégiature: le Three Valley Lake Chateau.
Nous nous sommes arrêtés un court instant en bordure du lac. Le décor était vraiment enchanteur.
Nous avons même eu l'opportunité de voir un convoi de trains circuler en bordure du lac.
L'eau du lac faisait office de miroir. Bâtiment, montagne, trains, tous ces éléments étaient fidèlement reproduits sur l'eau, rendant ainsi le spectacle encore plus grandiose.

CP Rail at 3 Valley Gap B.C.
Here is an older video of a CP Rail Coal drag heading West through 3 Valley Gap in BC taken in July 2001. This area is just West of Revelstoke BC. The gold in this video is 2/3 through when the train passes the 3 Valley Gap hotel and has an amazing reflection off the lake as it passes through two snow sheds. Just happened to catch this train from the Trans-Canada Highway.
