Master hotelier Petter A. Stordalen's new hotel, THE THIEF opens up for a preview.
Location is Tjuvholmen, the new neighborhood of Oslo, the capital of Noway. Tjuvholmen serves as a window to European contemporary architecture. This new neighbourhood is characterized by an intriguing architectural diversity and exceptional outdoor areas, all brought together by the master plan of one of Norway's most acclaimed architects; Niels Torp. Other architects are Kristin Jarmund, MAD, Kari Nissen Brodtkorb, Jensen & Skodvin og Lund Hagem. International contributors include Danish Schmidt Hammer Lassen, Finnish Gullichsen Vormala, and Italian superstar Renzo Piano, who is behind the new Astrup Fearnley museum.

Here's a small part of the Nådlands-neighborhood. Not the prettiest part mind you, a bit of renovation going on here and there, but I think it's lovely all the same.
Oslo City 4 (Aker Brygge - Tjuvholmen)
Aker Brygge is a neighbourhood in central Oslo, Norway. Since the 1980s and 1990s it has been a popular area for shopping, dining, and entertainment, as well as a high-end residential area. It was previously an industrial area.
Tjuvholmen is a neighborhood in the borough Majorstuen in Oslo, Norway. It is located on a peninsula sticking out from Aker Brygge into the Oslofjord. Since 2005, the area has been sold to private developers, who are conducting an urban renewal with housing. It is part of the Fjord City urban renewal program. This program has seen the opening of several art galleries, amongst them the Astrup Fearnley Museum of Modern Art and the Gallery Haaken. (From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia)
