Town of Oyster Bay Supervisor Joseph Saladino met with residents to discuss cell phone repeaters
Town of Oyster Bay Supervisor Joseph Saladino met with residents of the Woodbury area to discuss their mutual frustration regarding the presence of cell phone repeaters in their community. The Supervisor and Town Board recently called upon Long Island’s federal representatives to initiate and fund an independent study to determine the potential health effects of cellphone transmitters and similar equipment that has surfaced in residential communities. Supervisor Saladino has also demanded that the federal government amend the law to provide Towns and villages the jurisdictional power of where this equipment may be located.
