Todra Gorge is a gorge/canyon on the east side of the High Atlas Mountains in Morocco. The mountain rises up to 160 m/(525 ft) above the road and the river in the gorge. The place provides spectacular views and is popular for rock climbing and hiking. Todgha Gorge (Arabic: مضيق تودغا) is a canyon in the eastern part of the High Atlas Mountains in Morocco, near the town of Tinerhir. Both the Todgha and neighbouring Dades Rivers have carved out cliff-sided canyons (Arabic: wadi) on their final 40 kilometres (25 mi) through the mountains. The last 600 metres (1,969 ft) of the Todgha gorge are the most spectacular. Here the canyon narrows to a flat stony track, in places as little as 10 metres (33 ft) wide, with sheer and smooth rock walls up to 160 metres (525 ft) high on each side.

The tiny glacier stream is something of a misfit, the river which once filled the gorge must have carried a lot more water. It is easy to hike in the gorge along a well-maintained paved road. The scenery is spectacular. Local people live in the area and can be seen with their small donkeys or herding camels and goats.
The area is no longer as remote as it once was. A well-maintained asphalt road leads up the valley from Tinerhir to the gorge. A concrete road continues up the valley, past the hotels at the mouth of the gorge all the way to the villages of Aït Hani, Tamtatouchte, and Imilchil.
Thanks to its robust rock sides with many uneven surfaces, todgha Gorge is popular among rock climbers. More than 150 routes rated French Grade 5+ to 8 have been bolted in the canyon.

A 15 km del centro de Tinerhir, puertas delanteras del Alto Atlas pueblos Tamtatoucht y Imilchil, el Todra, altos acantilados de piedra caliza que parecen un corte tal por el río Todra para impresionar culpa milenios por su gran buceo espectacular al lecho del río.
Con picos que se elevan hasta 300 metros sobre el Todra que serpentea desde su nacimiento en las montañas del Alto Atlas, el Todra ocupar una de suma importancia en el valle; por un lado, proteger el curso del río que alimenta el bosque de Todra de varias decenas de kilómetros, pero también por su función simbólica y de identidad para los muy consciente de que la posición geográfica de Tinghir a menudo se establece en esta población natural y único.
Las ranuras son también un importante punto de contacto entre el valle y las montañas del Alto Atlas culminante. A pesar de la contribución económica, el Todra sufren tanto humanos como naturales cierta degradación, esta última causada por el mal tiempo causando inundaciones y crecidas de Todra.

Tinghir, also called Tinerhir (in Arabic: تنغير, and in Tamazight: ⵜⵉⵏⵖⵉⵔ) is a small city in the Southeast of Morocco between the high Atlas mountains and the little Atlas, known for the beautiful Gorges called Todra Gorges.
The Name Tinghir in Amazigh language (berber) originally referred to the foothills of the Atlas mountains.
According to the 2014 census, the city of Tinghir counts around 42000 inhabitants, while the whole province has 322400 (Tinghir being the capitale of the province also called Tinghir.
It is one of the major tourist attractions in Morocco not only because of the Todra gorges but also because it is in the middle of one of the biggest oases in southern Morocco. The view of all the palm trees along Todra valley is just fascinating.

The Todgha Gorges (Berber languages: ⵜⵉⵣⵉ ⵏ ⵜⵓⴷⵖⴰ; Arabic: مضيق تودغا) are a series of limestone river canyons, or wadi, in the eastern part of the High Atlas Mountains in Morocco, near the town of Tinerhir. Both the Todgha and neighbouring Dades Rivers are responsible for carving out these deep cliff-sided canyons, on their final 40 kilometres (25 mi) through the mountains. The height of the canyon walls can vary, but in some places can be up to 400 metres (1,312 ft) high.
