Japan Shinkansen Bento Box Tour at Shinagawa Train Station
Get Surfshark VPN at Enter promo code PAOLO to get 83% off and an extra month for free. Tokyo Shinagawa Train Station tour of Top 7 Bento box lunches to take with you on the shinkansen Japanese bullet train ride. I've already created a video for bento lunches at Tokyo station so it was only natural to create my Top 7 bentos at Shinagawa station. This Shinagawa tour of the train station and all of its bento box lunch options should help you get prepared for your next trip outside of Tokyo on the shinkansen.
At shinagawa station, benton shopping will be mainly at ecute south or ecute. Ecute south offers more souvenir sweets with a few bentos, and Ecute which is the area closest to the Shinkansen entrance, has the wider selection of bento options.

Top 7 Japanese Bento Box Lunches at Shinagawa Train Station
Shinagawa Station
1:06 - 7. Bara Chirashi don from Sakana Bacca
2:57 - 6. Japanese Kappo Bento at Nadaman
4:42 - 5. Gyutan Don from Rikyu
5:56 - 4. Egg Katsu sandwich from Torito Tamago Taro
7:58 - 3. Onigiri at Kongariya
10:15 - 2. #Shinkansenthiccdog
12:13 - 1. Spanish Bejota Iberiko pork JU at Eeashion
Bara Chirashi don from sakana bacca
Shinagawa used to have only one sushi shop, Takewaka, which has been our favorite since you can’t really go wrong with their sushi, but recently sakana bacca joined the fray on ecute side. Sakana Bacca is a fish store which has 3 locations in Tokyo so you know they’re coming with that wake you up kinda freshness.
Japanese Kappo Bento at Nadaman
Nadaman is a luxury Japanese restaurant chain with about 190 years of history and serving their elegant kappo style bento box. You can also find this shop in many department stores but this Shinagawa shop offers limited Shinagawa only bento boxes, because let’s be real... who wants a bento box that you can get at any old train station.

#11 “Walking in japan” Shinagawa station in Tokyo(品川駅)
I walked around Shinagawa station at night.
Shinagawa is a city where Haneda airport is near and there are a lot of users from all over Japan or overseas for the departure and arrival stations of the Tokaido Shinkansen.
Google Maps→
In the era when Tokyo was once called Edo, Shinagawa is one of the inn's streets connecting the Edo and Osaka.
Even now it is close to the Shinkansen and the airport so high quality hotels stand side by side.
There are a few houseboat shops that can enjoy the night view of Tokyo harbor while enjoying Japanese cuisine as it is close to the sea.

Work! Work! Work!
Shinkansen at Shinagawa station, Tokyo
Shinkansen stopping and leaving Shinagawa station.
It looks like the job of this attendant is to make sure everyone is safely off and then on the train, and then signal once it's clear.
I didn't record the entire time the train was there (there's a bit of a skip if you watch closely) ... but the train is only stopped at the station for about 2 minutes.
I caught the next train to Odawara station, from the track on the other side (and then took the bus to Hakone). Trains on this platform depart from both directions (on both sides of the platform).
By the time the end of the train (16 cars long) is leaving the station, it must be travelling at close to 50 mph.
Karaoke & dinner with a side of crazy - Shinagawa, Tokyo
Our 2nd night having a blast at a Japanese karaoke bar, this time in Shinagawa, Tokyo with our friend Yuki-san. We had dinner at a korean style bbq & went nuts at the Big Echo afterwards, with our own light show.
Who knew karaoke could be like this? Check it out & lets chat in the comments about karaoke.
Do you enjoy karaoke bars or sing karaoke on your gaming console with friends? What do you think of Japanese karaoke bars?

NEW: 7-Day Tokyo Pocket Itinerary
+ tons of Tokyo discount tickets

NEVER PAY FULL PRICE
Photos and extra tips on my blog:
First off, this is most important be sure to bring your passport, your driver's license and international driver's license, without these 3 pieces of ID they will not allow you to join the fun since the last thing you want being turned down at the door .
An international driver's license can be simply purchased at your local road assistance office because if you are pulled over, the Japanese police will require the international license to translate your foreign license.
Also, watch the instructional video at the Maricar shop and ask your instructor as many questions.
If you have never cosplayed before than this will be a great first experience into the wonderful world of Japanese cosplay, just make sure to act out your character.
Some of the main attractions you will see on these courses are
the gigantic Gundam robot, the famous Akihabara district, cross the rainbow bridge (not to be confused with the rainbow road from the mario kart games), the Tokyo tower in all its glory which is another great spot for selfies, you will also drive through famous Harajuku and Shibuya districts where you'll get lots of attention from friendly locals
you and your friends will be the center of attention throughout the streets of Tokyo.
Be aware, in Tokyo they drive on the left side of the road
if uncertain, just follow your group instructor closely
just not too closely, you don't want to smash into them so use those brakes, or ebrake in worst case .
Depending on how much time you have inTokyo, you can select the 1, 2 or even 3 hour course with prices ranging from 2900 yen to 5300 yen and includes insurance, a costume and an instructor
trust me, take the 3 hour tour because once you start you do not want to stop, there is just so much to see.
Now you may wonder is this dangerous? Well, maybe a little bit since helmets are optional and there is no seat belt, these go-karts are considered regular mopeds by Japanese traffic laws, just don't be a jackass and you'll be fine.
Another cool thing is the accessories rental option
ranging from bananas to a Bluetooth speaker so you can blast songs from your favorite Mario Kart game.
Discounts!! Make sure to read all details on their website to avoid any misinterpretations.
Now if you did forget your international driver's license you can always go to VR ZONE Shinjuku to play the VR version of Mario Kart which is another incredible experience in Tokyo.
