London. A sightseeing tour by car - travelling shots of London streets. Various scenes showing London taxis (black cabs) and double decker buses weaving their way through ordinary traffic on the streets of London. Filmed from the front of a moving vehicle we see Trafalgar Square, Hyde Park Corner, Kensington (?), Albert Memorial, Kensington High Street, Regent's Park (?), Park Lane (?), C/Us of back of a number 16 bus headed for Neasden, advert on back for The Tyrant King, Regent Street, Piccadilly Circus, Eros, Shaftesbury Avenue (?), Leicester Square, Nelson's Column, Trafalgar Square, the Strand, Buckingham Palace, Downing Street, the cenotaph, Houses of Parliament, Big Ben, Westminster Bridge, River Thames, various inner city streets. People wave at the cameraman so may well have been shot by cameraman on top of a van. Policeman is seen briefly, directing traffic. Bus has an advert on the side: Rove Around with Rovers, - advertising a type of travel ticket. Very high angle shot of Westminster Bridge and Houses of Parliament (from tall building?). Camera follows bus along Embankment - advert on the side is for Ty-Phoo Tea. Another bus has an advertisement for Queen Anne Scotch Whisky. The front of a Shepherd's Bush bus is filmed from a vehicle in front. A Dulwich bound bus is filmed from a vehicle in front. C/U of radiator grill of bus. Has a London Transport plaque on the front of the bus, camera zooms in on the logo. Bank of England. St Paul's Cathedral. Law courts. If you recognise any landmarks or streets not mentioned above, please let Pathe know.

New London Taxi:

The story can be loosely boiled down two three models – the Austin FX3 of 1949, followed by the 1958 FX4 (which became the Fairway in 1989) and the TX1 launched in 1997. This new TX, though, is easily the biggest step-change…

The New Tube for London
The New Tube will be introduced first on the Piccadilly line, followed by the Bakerloo, Central and Waterloo & City lines. Its innovative design will also allow for air-cooling for the first time on deep-level sections of the Tube.
The train - designs for which are part of a new public exhibition at King's Cross St Pancras Underground station - also features improved accessibility, with step free access from the platform as well as walk-through carriages and wider doors.

BELOW ARE SOME OF THE BEST PLACES TO VISIT
TOWER OF LONDON
The oldest part of Her Majesty’s Palace and Fortress, the Tower of London was built for William the Conqueror in the 1070s. It has been a Royal residence, a prison and it is still the place where the crown jewels are kept and we will see them. The only prisoners today are the ravens. It is also the place where two kings of England were murdered and three queens beheaded.
WESTMINSTER ABBEY
The coronation church where all our kings and queens have been crowned since 1066, the Abbey has many Royal connections and was recently chosen by the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge for their wedding. It is the Christian focus of the nation at times of celebration and memorial. Many famous people are buried or commemorated inside. Enjoy the wonderful architecture of this great abbey, a place of Christian worship for over 900 years.
ST PAUL’S CATHEDRAL
Take a St Paul’s Cathedral guided tour to admire Sir Christopher Wren’s masterpiece, built after the Great Fire of London in 1666, St Paul’s is the only Cathedral in the English Baroque style. There has been a church on this site for over 1,400 years, a great symbol of the Christian Faith and of the resilience of London, it has been burnt to the ground three times and each time risen like a phoenix from the ashes. During the Blitz of World War II it was a powerful morale booster for Londoners as it stood defiantly amongst all the devastation around it.
GREENWICH
Take a walk through historic Greenwich, UNESCO World Heritage Site and the site of the Greenwich Meridian. See the elegant Queen’s House, the Painted Hall and Chapel of the former Royal Naval Hospital, the Royal Observatory, the Cutty Sark tea clipper, the National Maritime Museum and of course stand on the Meridian Line. A visit to Greenwich can be a half day or a full day tour, it is possible to travel there by coach, car, DLR railway or by river boat along the Thames.

London's favourite guide takes you to all the main Harry Potter film locations in London on this magical walking tour.
Joolz Guides retraces the steps of Harry Potter, Hermione Granger and Ron Weasley as he visits the ministry of magic, the leaky cauldron, diagon alley and more on this tour of the London film locations!
Did you know that they actually used three different locations in London for The Leaky Cauldron. One is in Borough Market in The Prisoner of Azkaban, one is in Charing Cross Road and the first one used in The Philosophers Stone (The Sorcerors Stone) is in Leadenhall Market.
The divination stairway where Hermione wknocks the crystal ball down is in St Paul's Cathedral and we also go past the Millenium Bridge which the death eaters destroyed in Harry Potter and The Half Blood Prince. From London Bridge you get a good view of the route that HArry , Hermione and Ron Weasley took as they fly towards Grimauld Place on their brook sticks.
Joolz apparates to Piccadilly Circus just like in the Deathly Hallows and also nearly goes under a bus! We also visit the location where they filmed Platform 9 and 3 quarters which is in Kings Cross Station which is conveniently near the Harry Potter shop where you can buy school uniforms of Gryffindor or Slitherin and the other houses before you head off on a magical walking tour with Joolz towards Diagon Alley and the ministry of magic in Whitehall.
