Japani Garden Tricity
Japanese Garden Chandigarh:- Inaugurated in November 2014, Japanese Garden is the latest addition to the beauty of Chandigarh. This Japanese style park, developed over an area of 13 acres, showcase the Japanese culture, art and various types of plants. The main attractions of this garden include a pagoda tower, meditation hut, zen garden, statues of Buddha, a small pond with pretend crocodiles, a bridge over the pond and much more.
Location of Japanese Garden
It is located in Sector 31, Chandigarh. It is almost 4.5 kilometers from Sector 43 bus stand and at almost same distance from sector 17 bus stand. From the traffic lights on the road dividing sector 31 and 32, it is just a few meters towards sector 31.
Ticket and Timings:- This park is free for visitors, there is no entry ticket. Here you can enjoy a picnic with your family for free. There are no specific timings for the entry to this garden. If you want to go there for a morning walk or you want to visit the park for a stroll after dinner, you will find the gates open.
Pagoda Tower: The original purpose of a Japanese Pagoda was to house relics and sacred writings of Buddhist revered figure. The square shape symbolizes the earth. Each level represents one of the five elements: wind, water, earth, fire and sky.

A cinematic video of Sukhna Lake, Chandigarh...that I had shot with my son 'Muttu' AKA Bautista, a few days ago.
Sukhna Lake in Chandigarh, India, is a reservoir at the foothills (Shivalik hills) of the Himalayas. This 3 km² rainfed lake was created in 1958 by damming the Sukhna Choe, a seasonal stream coming down from the Shivalik Hills. Originally the seasonal flow entered the lake directly causing heavy siltation. To check the inflow of silt, 25.42 km² of land was acquired in the catchment area and put under vegetation. In 1974, the Choe was diverted and made to bypass the lake completely, the lake being fed by three siltation pots, minimizing the entry of silt into the lake itself.
Chandigarh, the capital of the northern Indian states of Punjab and Haryana, was designed by the Swiss-French modernist architect, Le Corbusier. His buildings include the Capitol Complex with its High Court, Secretariat and Legislative Assembly, as well as the giant Open Hand Monument. The nearby Rock Garden is a park featuring sculptures made of stones, recycled ceramics and industrial relics.
