Morrow Mountain State Park, Albemarle, North Carolina
Morrow Mountain State Park is adjacent to the Uwharrie National Forest and the Yadkin/Uwharrie/Pee Dee RIvers. The park boasts beautiful scenic views. There are plenty of camping options and 14 trails to experience. Bridle trails are also available. There is a rock quarry in the park and this park also has a public swimming pool that opens on Memorial Day each year.
This state park is very friendly for disabled persons. In the video, you will see an example of numerous handicap accessible campsites that are paved and even have accessible picnic tables. Paved walkways to the bath house make these sites great. Inside each bath house are two handicap accessible shower areas. We were very impressed with this state park!

What will you miss most about your home?
We will absolutely miss entertaining at our amazing kitchen island! That island has been the hub of many great evenings with friends and family.
What are some of your favorite features in your home?
We love the open layout and flow of this home. We also love the coffered ceiling in the living room and the uplift entry peak.
Compliments friends and family have made about your home:
We get rave reviews on our kitchen layout and island and the views from the kitchen window.
Tell us about your neighborhood:
It is wonderful! The deer graze right across the meadow and you will see birds everywhere. Our neighborhood is a certified wildlife sanctuary, which is a very prestigious designation from the state of NC.
Things you love about your town:
Davidson is wonderful! It is so close to everything, but retains the feel and charm of the small town that it is.
Where do you love to eat?
We love that you can start your day with a coffee at Summit, have lunch at Toast and wind your day up with dinner at Campania's and never leave Davidson.
Nearby grocery stores and other conveniences:
We are just minutes from exit 25 and all the amenities there: grocery, Target, Lowe's and soon the only Whole Foods in the Lake Norman area.
What were you drawn to when you bought the property?
We loved the feeling of space in this neighborhood. The lots are larger and it is not as big as other neighborhoods.
What do you love about the general area?
It is convenient, but feels like a little haven among all the busyness of life.

About:
Jason and Lorraine. In 2016 we sold most of our belongings and left the city in southern California to start a small homestead in the mountains of North Carolina. We left the city in search for a more minimal and intentional life. We became passionate about growing our own food and knowing what exactly is in our food after I (Jason) became diagnosed with cancer. Now 8 years in remission we as a family are on a journey to live our passions.
We document our life on YouTube videos to inspire others to get out of their comfort zone and not be afraid of change. We started our own online general store where we have available the things we make and use in real life. Thank you for following us on this incredible life changing journey!
