What To Do in Brasov, Romania!
After lots of rain during our first few days in Brasov, it finally cleared up enough for us to explore the city! In this video, we'll show you exactly what to do in Brasov, Romania. We love this charming Transylvania city and we know you will, too.
We started off in Council Square, then checked out the Black Church and Rope Street. After that, we hike to the top of Mount Tampa to take in the beautiful views. After a long hike, we felt we had earned a sweet treat and try out a delicious Romanian delicacy.

Brasov, Romania Walking Tour
Join us on a Brasov, Romania Walking Tour. The former Transylvania fortress is a beautiful contrast of old and new. The fort walls have been mostly torn down so the city could expand. Brasov is home to The Black Church, it is the largest Lutheran church in the region. Be sure to stop in this beautiful town when you are in Romania. Brasov is in the Carpathian mountains.

Our Romania travel tips & guide comes from the month we spent visiting Bucharest, Brasov and Transylvania during our recent visit.
In this Romania travel guide we visit Bran Castle, Brasov Romania, Transylvania Romania, drive from Bucharest to Brasov, and visit the best thermal spa in Eastern Europe.
If you are going to visit Romania or are living in Romania you'll find the black church in Brasov interesting. Transylvania travel accounts for a high amount of Romania tourism and Romania travel, but there is so much more to this wonderful country.

Brașov, Romania - In this ultimate Transylvanian Food tour of Brasov, Romania, we started off with a huge lunch, then continued to eat Transylvanian truffles, had a massive wild stew dinner, and ended the adventure with an e-bike ride up the ski slope and Romanian mountain breakfast. #Romania #Transylvania #Brasov

La Ceaun - Just after arriving to Brasov, we went for lunch in the center square. We tried a huge assortment of Transylvanian Romanian foods. An amazing way to begin this food tour of Brasov.
Cucinino Pasta Bar - After taking a walk through the city and walking the hills around the city, we stopped at Cucinino Pasta Bar, mostly with the intention to try Transylvanian truffles. Amazing.
Hotel Alpin - Poiana, Brasov - From the center of Brasov, we drove about 20 minutes up the mountain and checked in to Hotel Alpin a classic ski resort hotel.
Stana Turistica Sergiana - Dinner was one of the highlights of this entire experience for me, a traditional countryside Romanian restaurant. The different stews, including deer, rooster, and beef cheeks were outstanding. Highly recommended restaurant when you’re in Brasov, Romania.
Cabana Postăvaru - Ski Lodge, Restaurant - In the morning, after riding an e-bike up the side of a ski slope, we had a huge Romanian mountain breakfast.
A fantastic food adventure in Romania, and thank you again to Cristian Macedonschi ( for hosting us and making it happen.

Epic Day Trip to Bran Castle + Thunderstorm In Brasov
We had never been to #Transylvania before...and wow was it beautiful! We took a day trip to #BranCastle (AKA Dracula's Castle) to learn about the history of vampires in Transylvania right from the source. It was pretty cool learning about the evil Vlad the Impaler (a real Romanian ruler!) and getting to go inside the castle.
Next, we headed off to the nearby town of #Brasov. We didn't get to do much before dark storm clouds starting forming overhead. Before we knew it, we were getting poured on! Don't feel too bad for us--we waited out the storm with a beer in a nearby cafe :)

Brasov Romania Old Town Walking Tour
On this Brasov Romania Old Town Walking Tour, we walk through this fascinating historic area in Transylvania, Romania.
The Old Town is packed with so much medieval history and charm. It has one of the biggest churches in Europe, a medieval gate, and a wonderful medieval town square where they used to torture witches!
Nowadays there are no witches, but instead, there is a huge alfresco dining experience, with lunch on the menu. This is a wonderful Day tour from Bucharest, Romania.
