This is a DETAILED BUDGET TRAVEL ITINERARY to BAKU Azerbaijan especially for SOLO travelers. I stayed for 4 nights and 5 days in Azerbaijan. This video includes where I book a FREE walking tour, GROUP TOUR prices , ENTRANCE FEES, airfare cost from Dubai to Azerbaijan and VISA price (Visa requirement for Filipino residents in Dubai). I availed the Baku Day Trip to Gobustan National Park, Mud volcano, Burning Mountain and Heydar aliyev Cultural centre. Also the Gabala ang Shamakhi Trip and the must experience LIGHT tour at Baku City. Of course, since I'm on a budget, I chose a cheap place to stay which is close to nearby attractions. The Hostel has dormitory room and private room. I met new friends at the hostel whom I spent with during my stay in Azerbaijan. You will see a sneak peak of what you will see inside Maiden Tower and Shirvanshah Palace. Top of Maiden tower and Highland park are the place where you can watch an awesome panoramic view of the city. You will definitely have an idea also what you will see and experience during the Group Tours(the distance of walking and stairs to climb). You will also watch in this video the inside look of the restaurants where I dine in plus the foods I ate. At first, I had so many doubts and worries because I'm travelling SOLO but my mindset has changed and finally, I can tell you that Azerbaijan is a safe place to travel especially for women travelling solo.

Today I am taking you to my all time favorite place in BAKU. It is Highland Park from where you can see all the beauty of Baku that is embraced by the Caspian Sea. .Alley of Martyrs in Highland Park is also here.It is a burial place of Azerbaijani and Turkish soldiers who were killed in the battles for Baku in 1918. Also, the graves of the martyrs who died for their country in the war in 90s are situated here. But the most picturesque corner of Baku is Highland park. From here you get the opportunity to see how great and beautiful Baku city is.

Originally from Nashville, Tennessee, we got married June 2013 and quickly caught the travel bug! We started “travel hacking” and taking more trips together and finally decided we wanted to travel for one year. After 2 years of saving $ and travel hacking over 2 million miles and points, we sold our cars and apartment and left home January 10, 2016. Baku is one of the most ancient cities in the world. Imagine, it brings its history from the Paleolithic period. Baku is located on the shores of the Caspian Sea and has a strategic position between Europe and Asia.
Places to visit within 3-5 hours in Baku. Azerbaijan Travel!

- From Sea Walk walk to Ancient town, IcheriSheher;

A Tourist's Guide to Baku, Azerbaijan 2018
From Tbilisi we fly into Baku, located along the Caspian Sea. Staying the Fairmont 'Flame' Tower Hotel affords us an excellent view of the long sweeping city coastline.
In the city, we see the giant flag, walk past the carpet museum, see the twists and turns of the old medieval walled town, which included the magnificent Maiden Tower. We catch a metro to the Heydar Aliyev Centre, and then walk back, stopping off at the sprawling central market.
All in all, Baku is a pleasing mix of new and old, mixing glitzy modern skyscrapers with ottoman architecture.
